. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the recess of the channel structure in the intermediate wall has a meander-type form and that the meander extends from a lower area of the intermediate wall to an upper area of the intermediate wall.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the meander of the channel has increasingly narrow meander loops in the flow direction of the coolant.

. The battery module according to 35 , wherein said meander loops become narrower towards the upper area of the intermediate wall.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the recess in the channel structure extends over the entire thickness of the intermediate wall and is open towards the two adjacent walls of the battery cells.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the thickness of the plastic separating layer is no more than 20%, or no more than 10%, or no more than 5% of the thickness of the intermediate wall.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the thickness of the plastic separating layer is no more than 1 mm, or no more than 0.5 mm, or no more than 0.1 mm.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein a plurality of battery cells and the intermediate walls located between them are encompassed by a clamping device.

. The battery module according to claim 40 , wherein said clamping device is made of metal, which absorbs the forces exerted by the battery cells during operation.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the clamping device comprises a metal tension band.

. The battery module according to claim 42 , wherein the metal tension band is laser-welded or has a self-retaining or self-locking, quick-release closure.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the coolant inlet and/or the coolant outlet comprises a quick-action coupling for simple connection without tools to an external cooling system.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the battery module housing has a top cover plate, which is located above the battery cells, being positioned transversely with respect to the side walls of the battery module housing, and which has a filling connection opening for an electrolyte filling connection for filling the battery cells with the electrolyte, said cover plate having a trough-type recess on its top side that adjoins the filling connection opening.

. The battery module according to claim 24 , wherein the intermediate wall has one intermediate wall side wall each on its short side ends, which project at least partially beyond the small side walls of the cell housing.

. The battery module according to claim 46 , wherein the intermediate wall side wall forms a battery module housing side wall together with other intermediate wall side walls.
