Abstract

Methods, systems, and apparatuses a wireless communications network involve transmitting configuration information for a first user equipment (UE1 configuration information) for an inter-device session (IDS) between the first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, the UE1 configuration information including a radio network identifier. A control message configured with the radio network identifier and a radio resource identifier can be transmitted. The configuration information and the control information can instruct the second UE to transmit feedback signals directly from the second UE to the first UE in response to at least one IDS transmission between the first UE and the second UE.

Claims (42)

1 . A method performed by a network node of a wireless communications network, the method comprising:

transmitting configuration information for a first user equipment (UE1 configuration information) for an inter-device session (IDS) between the first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, the UE1 configuration information including a radio network identifier;

transmitting a control message configured with the radio network identifier and a radio resource identifier; and

receiving a feedback signal directly from the second UE in response to at least one IDS transmission between the first UE and the second UE.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

configuring an IDS physical uplink control channel (IDS-PUCCH1); and

receiving, from the first UE, an uplink control message on an uplink resource provided by the IDS-PUCCH1.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the uplink control message includes at least one of: an IDS schedule request, IDS channel state reporting, or IDS acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) feedback.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting, to the first UE, a transmit power control radio network identifier for power control commands associated with the IDS.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting, to the second UE, configuration information for the second UE (UE2 configuration information) for the IDS between the first UE and the second UE, the UE2 configuration information including a second radio network identifier;

6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

transmitting a control message to the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the first UE is to transmit and the second UE is to receive when the control message indicates the first radio network identifier.

7 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

transmitting a control message to the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the second UE is to transmit and the first UE is to receive when the control message indicates the second radio network identifier.

8 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the first radio network identifier is the same as the second radio network identifier,

wherein the UE1 configuration information further includes a session UE1-identifier (UE1-ID), and the UE2 configuration information further includes a session UE2-identifier (UE2-ID), the UE1-ID being different from the UE2-SID, and

wherein the method further comprises transmitting a control message to at least the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the first UE is to transmit and the second UE is to receive when the control message indicates the UE1-ID.

9 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the first radio network identifier is the same as the second radio network identifier,

wherein the UE1 configuration information further includes a session UE1-identifier (UE1-ID), and the UE2 configuration information further includes a session UE2-identifier (UE2-ID), the UE1-ID being different from the UE2-SID, and

wherein the method further comprises transmitting a control message to at least the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the second UE is to transmit and the first UE is to receive when the control message indicates the UE2-ID.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the feedback signal is an acknowledgment/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK).

11 . A network node of a wireless communications network, the network node comprising:

a transceiver configured to:

transmit configuration information for a first user equipment (UE1 configuration information) for an inter-device session (IDS) between the first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, the UE1 configuration information including a radio network identifier;

transmit a control message configured with the radio network identifier and a radio resource identifier; and

receive a feedback signal directly from the second UE in response to at least one IDS transmission between the first UE and the second UE.

12 . The network node of claim 11 , further comprising a processor configured to configure an IDS physical uplink control channel (IDS-PUCCH1),

wherein the transceiver is further configured to receive, from the first UE, an uplink control message on an uplink resource provided by the IDS-PUCCH1.

13 . The network node of claim 12 , wherein the uplink control message includes at least one of: an IDS schedule request, IDS channel state reporting, or IDS acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) feedback.

14 . The network node of claim 11 , wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit, to the first UE, a transmit power control radio network identifier for power control commands associated with the IDS.

The network node of claim 11 , wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit, to the second UE, configuration information for the second UE (UE2 configuration information) for the IDS between the first UE and the second UE, the UE2 configuration information including a second radio network identifier;

The network node of claim 15 , wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit a control message to the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the first UE is to transmit and the second UE is to receive when the control message indicates the first radio network identifier.

The network node of claim 15 , wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit a control message to the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the second UE is to transmit and the first UE is to receive when the control message indicates the second radio network identifier.

18 . The network node of claim 15 , wherein the first radio network identifier is the same as the second radio network identifier,

wherein the UE1 configuration information further includes a session UE 1 -identifier (UE1-ID), and the UE2 configuration information further includes a session UE2-identifier (UE2-ID), the UE1-ID being different from the UE2-SID, and

wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit a control message to at least the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the first UE is to transmit and the second UE is to receive when the control message indicates the UE1-ID.

19 . The network node of claim 15 , wherein the first radio network identifier is the same as the second radio network identifier,

wherein the UE1 configuration information further includes a session UE1-identifier (UE1-ID), and the UE2 configuration information further includes a session UE2-identifier (UE2-ID), the UE1-ID being different from the UE2-SID, and

wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit a control message to at least the first UE and the second UE, the control message indicating that the second UE is to transmit and the first UE is to receive when the control message indicates the UE2-ID.

20 . The network node of claim 11 , wherein the feedback signal is an acknowledgment/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK).
