View Patent ↗An exhaust system of a vehicle used for a parallel multiple cylinder engine in which a plurality of cylinders are aligned in vehicle width directions, at least comprising: an exhaust manifold that is connected to a plurality of exhaust ports formed in a front face of a cylinder head of the engine with respect to a vehicle traveling direction and that extends approximately horizontally in vehicle width directions along a front face of the cylinder head; and an exhaust pipe connected to an exhaust downstream end of the exhaust manifold.
1. An exhaust system of a vehicle used for a parallel multiple cylinder engine in which a plurality of cylinders are aligned in a vehicle width direction, comprising:
an exhaust manifold that is connected to a plurality of exhaust ports formed in a front end surface of a cylinder head of the engine with respect to a vehicle traveling direction and that extends horizontally in a vehicle width direction along the front end surface of the cylinder head; and
an exhaust pipe including a front end part connected to a flange positioned at an exhaust downstream side of the exhaust manifold, a first curved part bent rearward from the front end part, and a first straight line part extending horizontally rearward starting at the first curved part, wherein a level of the first straight line part is located at a position equal to a level of the exhaust ports.
2. The exhaust system of the vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein
the exhaust manifold is surrounded with a cover.
3. The exhaust system of the vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein
the exhaust pipe is configured to extend rearward with respect to the vehicle traveling direction and so as to extend above a V-belt type continuously variable transmission arranged on a side of the engine.
4. The exhaust system of the vehicle according to claim 3 , wherein
the engine is connected via a connecting bracket to the gear type transmission in an integral manner.
