Abstract

A timing adjustment method in a mobile communication system that performs an adjustment of uplink transmission timing by random access between a user equipment and a base station, the timing adjustment method that includes performing transmission having transmission timing adjustment information in the user equipment; allocating a plurality of parameters related to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource used for communications, between the user equipment and the base station; and if a timer controlling a term of uplink transmission timing adjustment information expires during uplink communications to the base station having the uplink transmission timing adjustment information in the user equipment, releasing only a part of the allocated plurality of parameters related to the PUCCH resource.

Claims (24)

1. A timing adjustment method in a mobile communication system that performs an adjustment of uplink transmission timing by random access between a user equipment and a base station, the timing adjustment method comprising:

performing transmission having transmission timing adjustment information in the user equipment;

allocating a plurality of parameters related to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource used for communications, between the user equipment and the base station; and

if a timer controlling a term of uplink transmission timing adjustment information expires during uplink communications to the base station where the user equipment has the uplink transmission timing adjustment information, releasing only a plurality, which is less than all, of the allocated plurality of parameters related to the PUCCH resource.

2. A user equipment that performs an adjustment of uplink transmission timing by random access with a base station, the user equipment comprising:

a transmitter configured to perform transmission having transmission timing adjustment information; and

a controller configured to

allocate a plurality of parameters related to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource used for communications, between the user equipment and the base station; and

if a timer controlling a term of uplink transmission timing adjustment information expires during uplink communications to the base station where the user equipment has the uplink transmission timing adjustment information, release only a plurality, which is less than all, of the allocated plurality of parameters related to the PUCCH resource.

3. A base station that performs an adjustment of uplink transmission timing by random access with a user equipment, wherein

the user equipment including

a transmitter configured to perform transmission having transmission timing adjustment information; and

a controller configured to

allocate a plurality of parameters related to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource used for communications, between the user equipment and the base station; and

if a timer controlling a term of uplink transmission timing adjustment information expires during uplink communications to the base station where a user equipment has the uplink transmission timing adjustment information, release only a plurality, which is less than all, of the allocated plurality of parameters related to the PUCCH resource, and

the base station comprising

a transceiver configured to communicate with the user equipment.

4. A mobile communication system that performs an adjustment of uplink transmission timing by random access between a user equipment and a base station, the mobile communication system comprising:

the user equipment; and

the base station, wherein

the user equipment

performs transmission having transmission timing adjustment information in the user equipment,

allocates a plurality of parameters related to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource used for communications, between the user equipment and the base station, and

if a timer controlling a term of uplink transmission timing adjustment information expires during uplink communications to the base station where the user equipment has the uplink transmission timing adjustment information, releases only a plurality, which is less than all, of the allocated plurality of parameters related to the PUCCH resource.
