Apparatus and Method Pertaining to Predicted-Text Derivatives
A method includes displaying, via the touch-sensitive display, a plurality of predicted entries as a function, at least in part, of entries being entered via a keyboard. A first touch is detected with a touch-sensitive display. The first touch is used to identify a first one of the predicted entries. The first one of the predicted entries is used to identify at least one derivative of the first one of the predicted entries. The at least one derivative is displayed via the touch-sensitive display.
1 . An apparatus comprising:

detect a first touch with the touch-sensitive display;
using the first touch to identify a first one of the predicted entries;
use the first one of the predicted entries as a root to identify at least one further predicted entry;
display via the touch-sensitive display the at least one further predicted entry.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first touch is at a location associated with an area of the touch-sensitive display where the first one of the predicted entries is displayed.
6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein using the given one of the predicted entries as a root to identify at least one further predicted entry comprises using the given one of the predicted entries as a root to identify a plurality of further predicted entries.
7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein displaying via the touch-sensitive display the at least one further predicted entry comprises displaying a plurality of the plurality of further predicted entries.
8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus comprises a portable electronic device.
9 . A method comprising:
displaying via the touch-sensitive display a plurality of predicted entries as a function, at least in part, of entries being entered via a keyboard;
detecting a first touch with a touch-sensitive display;
