PET HARNESS FOR ASSISTING PET MOBILITY
The invention presents a harness assembly for lifting and supporting an animal in mobility. The assembly comprises a front and rear harness sections releasably attached by a lifting leash. Both the front and rear harness sections can be used independently. Both the front and rear harness sections are comprised of upper and lower sections releasably attached to one another. The rear harness section lifts the animal from both the hips and waist resulting in less stress than other devices.
1 . A harness assembly for assisting animals in mobility, the harness assembly comprising:
a. a front harness section having an upper section and a lower section connected together by at least one releasable latching mechanism;
b. a rear harness section having a waist band upper section and a waist band lower section connected together by at least one releasable latching mechanism; and
c. a lifting leash connected to the front harness section and the rear harness section by at least one releasable latching mechanism.
2 . The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the front harness lower section further comprises a right foreleg loop, a left foreleg loop, and a chest strap.
3 . The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the front harness upper section further comprises a front harness lifting handle.

The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the releasable latching mechanisms include at least one link, spring link, carabiner, spring snap, screw link, metal or plastic clip, Velcro (trade name) attachment, side release buckle, lift release buckle, split release buckle, buckle with detachable male and female ends, single adjustable side release buckle, double adjustable side release buckle, or snap swivel.
5 . The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the waist band upper section is connected with a right hind leg strap and a left hind leg strap.
6 . The harness assembly according to claim 5 , wherein one end of each of the right hind leg strap and the left hind leg strap are connected to the waist band upper section by an adjustable pivot anchor.
7 . The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the rear harness section further comprises a rear harness lifting handle.

The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the waist band upper section has an extra releasable latching mechanism which cooperates with a releasable latching mechanism at one end of the waist band lower section and is operable to hold the waist band lower section while the animal eliminates.
9 . The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the front harness section is independently useable for lifting the front of the animal.
10 . The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the rear harness section is independently useable for lifting the rear of the animal.
11 . The harness assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the front harness section and the rear harness section are useable together to lift the front and rear of the animal.
