Relay device, relay method, and non-transitory computer readable medium

1. A relay device comprising:

a communication unit that communicates with an image forming device and a plurality of service providing devices configured to provide a service to the image forming device;

a first conversion unit configured to perform a first conversion process between a request to store document data and a request to print the stored document data interpretable by the image forming device and an intermediate language interpretable by the relay device;

a second conversion unit configured to perform a second conversion process between the request to store the document data and the request to print the stored document data interpretable by each of a plurality of service providing devices and the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device; and

a controller configured to perform control so that when the communication unit receives the request to store the document data at a service providing device among the plurality of service providing devices from the image forming device, the first conversion unit performs the first conversion process to convert the request to store the document data into the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device, the second conversion unit performs the second conversion process to convert the request to store the document data into a language interpretable by the service providing device, and the communication unit transmits the converted request to store the document data to the service providing device, and

when the communication unit receives the stored document data sent to the image forming device from the service providing device in response to receiving the request to print the stored document data from the image forming device, the second conversion unit is further configured to perform the second conversion process to convert the stored document data into the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device, the controller is further configured to convert the converted stored document data into print data, the first conversion unit is further configured to perform the first conversion process on the print data to convert the print data into a language interpretable by the image forming device, and the communication unit is further configured to transmit the converted print data to the image forming device,

wherein the language interpretable by the image forming device, the language interpretable by the service providing device, and the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device are different from each other.

2. The relay device according to claim 1 , wherein the communication unit includes a plurality of communication interface units that are provided so as to respectively correspond to the plurality of service providing devices, each of the plurality of communication interface units configured to communicate with the corresponding one of the plurality of service providing devices in accordance with a protocol used by the service providing device.

3. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program causing a computer to execute a process, the process comprising:

establishing communication between a relay device and an image forming device and communication between the relay device and a service providing device among a plurality of service providing devices that provides a service to the image forming device;

performing a first conversion process between a request to store document data and a request to print the stored document data interpretable by the image forming device and an intermediate language interpretable by the relay device;

performing a second conversion process between the request to store the document data and the request to print the stored document data interpretable by each of a plurality of service providing devices and the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device; and

performing control so as to when receiving the request to store the document data at the service providing device from the image forming device, perform the first conversion process to convert the request to store the document data into the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device and the second conversion process to convert the request to store the document data into a language interpretable by the service providing device and transmit the converted request to store the document data to the service providing device, and

when receiving the stored document data sent to the image forming device from the service providing device in response to receiving the request to print the document stored data from the image forming device, perform the second conversion process to convert the stored document data into the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device, convert the stored document data into print data, and the first conversion process on the print data to convert the print data into a language interpretable by the image forming device, and transmit the converted print data to the image forming device,

wherein the language interpretable by the image forming device, the language interpretable by the service providing device, and the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device are different from each other.

4. A relay method comprising:

establishing communication between a relay device and an image forming device and communication between the relay device and a service providing device among a plurality of service providing devices that provides a service to the image forming device;

performing a first conversion process between a request to store document data and a request to print the stored document data interpretable by the image forming device and an intermediate language interpretable by the relay device;

performing a second conversion process between the request to store the document data and the request to print the stored document data interpretable by each of a plurality of service providing devices and the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device; and

performing control so as to when receiving the request to store the document data at the service providing device from the image forming device, perform the first conversion process to convert the request to store the document data into the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device and the second conversion process to convert the request to store the document data into a language interpretable by the service providing device and transmit the converted request to store the document data to the service providing device, and

when receiving the stored document data sent to the image forming device from the service providing device in response to receiving the request to print the stored document data from the image forming device, perform the second conversion process to convert the stored document data into the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device, convert the stored document data into print data, and the first conversion process on the print data to convert the print data into a language interpretable by the image forming device, and transmit the converted print data to the image forming device,

wherein the language interpretable by the image forming device, the language interpretable by the service providing device, and the intermediate language interpretable by the relay device are different from each other.
