RECYCLED PLASTIC COMPOSITE COMPOSITION
A formulation for a recycled plastic, composite composition, and a method of making the composite composition, is provided. The composite composition includes recycled EVA plastic from 30% to 80%, a stone powder from 20% to 70%; percentages by weight.
1 . A recycled plastic composite composition, comprising:
a recycled plastic;
a heavy calcium carbonate;
wherein the recycled plastic is present in an amount 30% to 80% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
wherein the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount from 20% to 70% by weight based on weight of the composition.
2 . The composition of claim 1 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 70% and less than or equal to 80% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 20% and less than or equal to 30% by weight based on weight of the composition.
3 . The composition of claim 1 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 60% and less than or equal to 70% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 30% and less than or equal to 40% by weight based on weight of the composition.
4 . The composition of claim 1 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 50% and less than or equal to 60% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 40% and less than or equal to 50% by weight based on weight of the composition.
5 . The composition of claim 1 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 40% and less than or equal to 50% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 50% and less than or equal to 60% by weight based on weight of the composition.
6 . The composition of claim 1 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 30% and less than or equal to 40% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 60% and less than or equal to 70% by weight based on weight of the composition.
7 . The composition of claim 1 wherein the composition further includes talc.
8 . The composition of claim 1 wherein the composition is heated to become a thick composite.
9 . A method of preparing a recycled plastic composite composition, comprising:
melting together components, comprising:
a recycled plastic, wherein the recycled plastic is present in an amount 30% to 80% by weight based on weight of the composition;
a heavy calcium carbonate, wherein the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount from 20% to 70% by weight based on weight of the composition;
to obtain a thick composite; and
molding the thick composite to obtain said recycled plastic composite composition.
10 . The method of claim 9 wherein;
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 70% and less than or equal to 80% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 20% and less than or equal to 30% by weight based on weight of the composition.
11 . The method of claim 9 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 60% and less than or equal to 70% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 30% and less than or equal to 40% by weight based on weight of the composition.
12 . The method of claim 9 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 50% and less than or equal to 60% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 40% and less than or equal to 50% by weight based on weight of the composition.
13 . The method of claim 9 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 40% and less than or equal to 50% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 50% and less than or equal to 60% by weight based on weight of the composition.
14 . The method of claim 9 wherein:
the recycled plastic is present in an amount greater than 30% and less than or equal to 40% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than 60% and less than or equal to 70% by weight based on weight of the composition.
15 . The method of claim 9 wherein the composition further includes talc.
16 . The method of claim 9 wherein the step of melting together components includes the steps of:
mixing pellets of the recycled plastic and the heavy calcium carbonate to produce a composite mixture;
feeding the composite mixture to a screw melting machine with electric heating;
heating the composite mixture to produce a thick composite; and
conveying the thick composite to an outlet.
17 . The method of claim 16 wherein the step of molding the thick composite to obtain said recycled plastic composite composition includes the steps of:
conveying the thick composite to a mold; and
cooling the thick composite.
18 . The method of claim 17 wherein the step of cooling the thick composite includes the steps of:
cooling the thick composite in the mold with the circulation of the cooling water to de-mold the thick composite,
demolding the thick composite; and
immersing the thick composite in water to be cooled completely.
19 . A recycled plastic composite device comprising:
a recycled plastic composite composition, comprising:
a recycled plastic;
a heavy calcium carbonate;
wherein the recycled plastic is present in an amount 30% to 80% by weight based on weight of the composition; and
wherein the heavy calcium carbonate is present in an amount from 20% to 70% by weight based on weight of the composition.
20 . The recycled plastic composite device of claim 19 wherein the device is a Flowerpot.
