Abstract

A wireless device initiates a first random access process on a first uplink carrier of a first cell in in response to receiving a first control command. The wireless device receives a second control command for transmission of a second random access preamble on a second uplink carrier of a second cell in the plurality of cells while the first random access process is on-going. The wireless device determines, employing a pre-defined rule, whether to continue with the first random access process and ignore the second control command; or to abort the first random access process and to transmit the second random access preamble.
