2. The method of claim 1 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document comprises extracting the plurality of portions of content from the electronic document.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document comprises removing, from the electronic document, information and formatting extraneous to the plurality of portions.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document comprises utilizing visual pattern recognition or image analysis to identify the plurality of portions.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document is performed using optical character recognition or metadata inspection techniques.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document is performed using term frequency-inverse document frequency, a uniform resource locator, or a file name.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the at least one portion comprises disambiguating the at least one portion from at least one other portion within the plurality of portions.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the at least one portion comprises determining that the user is currently viewing or accessing the at least one portion.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the at least one portion comprises at least one of audio or video content.

14. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

detecting a selection by the user of a the at least one portion; and

updating a user profile associated with the user to reflect that the user is interested in the at least one portion.

15. The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the at least one portion comprises using a cursor location to identify the at least one portion.

16. A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one computer-readable storage medium storing instructions thereon that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

enable a selectable user interface element for presentation to a user in association with an electronic document separate from the selectable user interface element, wherein selection by a user of the selectable user interface element indicates that the user is interested in at least a portion of the electronic document;

detect a selection by the user of the selectable user interface element;

analyze, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify a plurality of portions of content of the electronic document; and

identify at least one portion from the plurality of portions of the content of the electronic document that the user is interested in.

17. The system of claim 16 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document comprises extracting the plurality of portions of content from the electronic document.

18. The system of claim 16 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document comprises removing, from the electronic document, information and formatting extraneous to the plurality of portions.

19. The system of claim 16 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document comprises utilizing visual pattern recognition or image analysis to identify the plurality of portions.

20. The system of claim 16 , wherein analyzing, in response to the detected selection, the electronic document to identify the plurality of portions of content of the electronic document is performed using optical character recognition or metadata inspection techniques.
