Abstract

A system and method displaying relevant health and wellness information to the veterinarian is described. The health and wellness information may come from a wearable device providing vital sign information as well as information from the veterinarian's records. The health and wellness information may further include derived information based on the vital signs information, physiological signs information, as well as information from third parties.

Claims (38)

1 . A system for providing a user interface, the system comprising:

a processor;

an input configured to receive data from one or more sensors;

a storage configured to store at least one of said data from said one or more sensors and events derived by the processor from said received data; and

an output,

wherein the processor outputs content displayable on a user interface, the displayable content including:

vital signs for each of a plurality of animals, wherein the vital signs for each animal of the plurality of animals is received as data from the one or more sensors;

health symptoms for each of the plurality of animals, wherein the health symptoms for each animal of the plurality of animals are derived from the data received from the one or more sensors, and

content obtained from a computer system storing veterinarian-inputted data for each of the plurality of animals.

2 . The system of claim 1 ,

wherein the veterinarian-inputted data for each animal of the plurality of animals comprises one of:

a medication for the animal, and

an upcoming appointment for the animal.

3 . The system of claim 1 ,

wherein the vital signs, health symptoms, and veterinarian-inputted data are configured to be displayed in a table format in the user interface, and

wherein an entry in the table for each animal of the plurality of animals comprises a cell for each of the vital signs, health symptoms, and veterinarian-inputted data for the corresponding animal.

4 . The system of claim 3 ,

wherein each cell comprises color-coding indicating the current status of the data contained in the respective cell.

5 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:

a graphic display of the vital signs of a first animal of the plurality of animals.

6 . The system of claim 5 ,

wherein the graphic display comprises normalized ranges for the displayed vital signs of the first animal.

7 . The system of claim 6 ,

wherein the graphic display further comprises a plurality of axes,

wherein each axis of the plurality of axes corresponds to a respective vital sign of the first animal.

8 . The system of claim 7 ,

wherein the graphic display further comprises a plotted data point on each axis indicating a status of the first animal's vital sign corresponding to the respective axis.

9 . The system of claim 8 ,

wherein the plotted data points are connected by a smoothed curve.

10 . The system of claim 6 ,

wherein each of the displayed vital signs for the first animal is weighted according to a corresponding weighting factor.

11 . The system of claim 10 ,

wherein the user interface comprises a baseline axis and a bar representing each weighted vital sign,

wherein the bar representing each weighted vital sign indicates a status of the corresponding vital sign with respect to a baseline status of the first animal.

12 . The system of claim 11 ,

wherein an outermost point of each bar as measured from the baseline axis is connected by a smoothed curve.

13 . The system of claim 6 ,

wherein the graphic display further comprises a time control, and wherein, when the time control is manipulated by a user, the graphic display indicates a change in the first animal's vital signs over time.
