Personal digital identity device with microphone responsive to user interaction
View Patent ↗A personal digital ID device provides a digital identifier to a service for a predetermined duration in response to user interaction. The user interaction may include a button press. The personal digital ID device may be in the form of a bracelet, a key fob, or other form factor. The service may be provided by a mobile device, in the cloud, or elsewhere.
1. A personal digital ID device comprising:
a crypto/cipher engine having at least one digital identifier;
a button accessible to a user of the personal digital ID device;
a microphone to capture a user voice for authentication;
a near-field radio;
a non-near-field radio; and
a processor coupled to the crypto/cipher engine, the button, the microphone, the near-field radio, and the non-near-field radio, the processor configured to validate a user through voiceprint analysis and to turn on the near-field radio and the non-near field radio for a predetermined duration in response to two pushes of the button.
2. The personal digital ID device of claim 1 wherein the near-field radio comprises a near field communications (NFC) radio.
3. The personal digital ID device of claim 1 wherein the near-field radio comprises an ISO14443 compatible radio.
4. The personal digital ID device of claim 1 wherein the near-field radio comprises an ISO18092 compatible radio.
5. The personal digital ID device of claim 1 wherein the non-near-field radio comprises a Bluetooth compatible radio.
6. The personal digital ID device of claim 1 wherein the non-near-field radio comprises a WiFi compatible radio.
7. The personal digital ID device of claim 1 wherein the non-near-field radio comprises a transceiver compatible with a body area network.
8. The personal digital ID device of claim 7 wherein the transceiver comprises an IEEE 802.15.4 compatible transceiver.
