Abstract

Embodiments herein relate to a method in a user equipment ( 10 ) for handling In Device Coexistent, IDC, configuration. The user equipment ( 10 ) is IDC capable and being served by a network node ( 12 ) in a communications network. The user equipment ( 10 ) receives from the network node ( 12 ), an IDC configuration for at least one IDC scheme. The user equipment ( 10 ) further adapts at least one parameter related to a radio measurement performed by the user equipment ( 10 ) based on the received IDC configuration.

Claims (21)

1. A method in a user equipment for handling In Device Coexistent (IDC) configuration, which user equipment is IDC capable and being served by a network node in a communications network, the method comprising:

receiving, from the network node, an IDC configuration comprising an IDC autonomous denial for at least one IDC scheme; and

adapting at least one parameter related to a radio measurement performed by the user equipment based on the received IDC configuration by (1) introducing a delay in a radio measurement reporting of the radio measurement, and (2) meeting a predefined measurement requirement related to the radio measurement performed by the user equipment provided the received IDC configuration meets a certain condition, wherein the at least one parameter further comprises one or more of the following: measurement period or evaluation time, cell identification delay, measurement sampling rate, measurement reporting time, measurement accuracy, transmit timing accuracy, and creation of IDC gaps with respect to the measurement sampling.

2. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising reporting adapting capability of the user equipment to the network node.

3. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising signalling information, to a node, related to denial periods of the IDC autonomous denial over which the user equipment does not operate on Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network, E-UTRAN, or Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network, UTRAN, wherein the denial periods are adapted at the user equipment in response to the received IDC configuration.

4. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising

performing at least one radio measurement based on the adaptation.

5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the received IDC configuration further comprises one or more of the following:

IDC subframe pattern; and

DRX configuration.

6. A user equipment for handling In Device Coexistent (IDC) configuration, which user equipment is IDC capable and configured to be served by a network node in a communications network, comprising:

a receiver configured to receive from the network node, an IDC configuration comprising an IDC autonomous denial for at least one IDC scheme; and

an adapting circuit configured to adapt at least one parameter related to a radio measurement performed by the user equipment based on the received IDC configuration by (1) introducing a delay in a radio measurement reporting of the radio measurement, and (2) meeting a predefined measurement requirement related to the radio measurement performed by the user equipment provided the received IDC configuration meets a certain condition, wherein the at least one parameter further comprises one or more of the following: measurement period or evaluation time, cell identification delay, measurement sampling rate, measurement reporting time, measurement accuracy, transmit timing accuracy, and creation of IDC gaps with respect to the measurement sampling.

7. The user equipment according to claim 6 , further comprising a reporting circuit configured to report an adapting capability of the user equipment to the network node.

8. The user equipment according to claim 6 , further comprising a signalling circuit configured to signal information, to a node, related to denial periods over which the user equipment does not operate on Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network, E-UTRAN, or Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network, UTRAN, wherein the denial periods are adapted at the user equipment in response to the received IDC configuration.

9. The user equipment according to claim 6 , further comprising a performing circuit configured to perform at least one radio measurement based on the adaptation.

10. The user equipment according to claim 6 , wherein the received IDC configuration further comprises one or more of the following:

IDC subframe pattern; and

DRX configuration.

11. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the certain condition is meet when the received IDC configuration has a certain range of autonomous denial related parameters based at least on one of: (1) autonomousDenialSubframes; and (2) autonomousDenialValidity.

12. The user equipment according to claim 6 , wherein the certain condition is meet when the received IDC configuration has a certain range of autonomous denial related parameters based at least on one of: (1) autonomousDenialSubframes; and (2) autonomousDenialValidity.
