Vibration generator having swing unit, frame and elastic member

1. A vibration generator comprising:

a frame;

a swing unit disposed within said frame and for holding a magnet;

a coil disposed so as to face toward said swing unit; and

an elastic member connecting said swing unit and said frame,

wherein:

said swing unit has a plate shape parallel to a horizontal plane,

said coil has a flat plate shape,

a largest surface of said coil is disposed facing a largest surface of said swing unit,

said swing unit is movable with respect to said frame while deforming said elastic member,

said swing unit reciprocates in a direction substantially parallel to said horizontal plane in response to excitation of said coil, and

said frame, said swing unit, and said elastic member are integrally molded with each other,

said elastic member is formed using a resin,

said swing unit includes a plurality of grooves used as a gate when injecting the resin for forming said elastic member,

at least one groove of said plurality of grooves is used as a joint connecting said swing unit to said elastic member,

said plurality of grooves are provided on a weight portion of said swing unit, said weight portion being a portion that is oriented in a manner so as to hold said magnet and a back yoke portion of said swing unit together,

said weight portion includes a plurality of cutout portions, each of said cutout portions having at least one of said plurality of grooves disposed therein.

2. The vibration generator according to claim 1 , wherein

said elastic member includes a beam portion for deflecting when said swing unit moves with respect to said frame,

said beam portion is formed such that a longitudinal direction thereof corresponds to a direction vertical to a swing direction of said swing unit,

a cross section of said beam portion taken perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of said beam portion is rectangular, and

a short side of said cross section is parallel to the swing direction of said swing unit.
