Method for repairing a sound attenuation panel
A method for repairing a sound attenuation panel is disclosed. The panel includes a structuring skin in metal material, a resistive layer in metal material and a honeycomb structure as acoustic absorption material directly added onto the structuring skin and resistive layer. The method includes a step in which one reinforcing pin is inserted into the thickness of the attenuation panel and a step in which the reinforcing pin is secured by welding in a controlled atmosphere to the structuring skin and resistive layer respectively.
1. A method for repairing a sound attenuation panel comprising a structuring skin in metal material, a resistive layer in metal material and a honeycomb structure as acoustic absorption material directly added onto the structuring skin and resistive layer,
wherein the method comprises at least one step in which at least one reinforcing pin is inserted into the thickness of said sound attenuation panel, a welding step of providing on both sides of a welded surface with welding in a controlled inert atmosphere, and a step in which said at least one reinforcing pin is secured by welding in the controlled inert atmosphere to the structuring skin and resistive layer respectively.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein said at least one reinforcing pin is successively secured to the resistive layer and structuring skin of the sound attenuation panel.
3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one reinforcing pin is inserted transverse to the honeycomb structure and oriented perpendicular to the planes of the resistive layer and structuring skin of the sound attenuation panel.
4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein at the welding step of the at least one reinforcing pin onto the resistive layer, an inert gas diffusion device is placed on the resistive layer other than a welding torch and a gas ejection nozzle on the other side of the panel on the structuring skin.
5. The method according to claim 4 , wherein a gas of argon or helium type is diffused, or a mixture of both.
6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein prior to inserting the at least one reinforcing pin, perforations are made in the resistive layer and structuring skin, the perforations being of size and shape matching a size and shape of the at least one reinforcing pin.
7. The method according to claim 6 , wherein prior to inserting the at least one reinforcing pin and following successively after the perforation step, a de-burring step is performed on the inner and outer surfaces of the resistive layer and structuring skin.
8. A sound attenuation panel obtained using the repair method of claim 1 .
9. An aircraft engine nacelle equipped with at least one sound panel according to claim 8 .
