Abstract

Razor handles are provided for razors having a battery-powered functionality. Methods of manufacturing such handles are also provided. In one implementation, the handle includes a unitary grip portion constructed to receive a razor head at one end thereof, and a battery cover, mounted on the grip portion. The razor handle allowing for varying vibration settings.

Claims (11)

1. A razor handle for a shaving razor having a battery-powered functionality, the handle comprising:

a load comprising a motor coupled to a power source;

a control logic comprising a pulse-width modulator for providing a pulse train to the motor for a predetermined time interval; and

an indirect switching system comprising an actuator button for controlling energy flow between the power source and the load, the indirect switching system configured to store a state of the motor in the control logic, wherein the control logic is configured to change the state of the motor to disable the motor following lapse of the predetermined time interval.

2. The razor handle of claim 1 , wherein the indirect switching system comprises at least one of a mechanical switch and an electrical switch.

3. The razor handle of claim 1 wherein the pulse train has a duty cycle under control by the control logic.

4. The razor handle of claim 3 , wherein the duty cycle varies in response to a control signal from a speed control switch.

5. The razor handle of claim 1 , wherein said pulse width modulator comprises a low duty cycle.

6. The razor handle of claim 5 , wherein said pulse width modulator comprises a high duty cycle.

7. The razor handle of claim 1 , wherein said pulse width modulator comprises a high duty cycle.

8. The razor handle of claim 1 , wherein said actuator button does not mechanically store the state of the motor.
