Abstract

Disclosed are an open type POI service system using an SNS method and a method thereof. The open type POI system includes an SNS media studio server which opens a POI to a user and registers an interest location designated by a user as an open type POI. Therefore, the SNS media studio server includes a database which stores an open type POI related to a user, and supplies the open type POI to another user who is related to the user by connection of the open type POI and SNS.

Claims (44)

1. An open-type point of interest (POI) service system, the system comprising:

a social network service (SNS) media studio server configured to retrieve a plurality of POIs to be displayed on a map for a first user and register at least one of the plurality of POIs as an open-type POI, the open-type POI being set to be shared with a second user and including a first POI indicating a location of the first user, a second POI indicating the location of the second user, and a third POI indicating a traffic state at a physical location of the third POI,

wherein the SNS media studio server comprises:

a map database to store the open-type POI to be associated with the first user; and

an SNS database to store information of the second user with whom the first user sets a relationship,

wherein the open-type POI is supplied to the second user by an open application program interface through an SNS for use with a map service.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first POI is displayed at a fixed location on the map, the second POI is displayed at a variant location on the map, and the third POI is displayed at a location in a road or near the road on the map.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the first POI is selected by the first user from among the plurality of POIs or has POI related information that is changed or added by the user from among the plurality of POIs.

4. The system of claim 2 , wherein the location at which the second POI is displayed corresponds to the location of the second user who allows opening of the location to the first user.

5. The system of claim 2 , wherein the third POI corresponds to a reference point to collect traffic information associated with the road.

6. The system of claim 2 , wherein the SNS media studio server directly receives an input of traffic information associated with the road from the first user, and connects the traffic information with the third POI.

7. The system of claim 2 , wherein the SNS media studio server collects traffic information associated with the road on the Internet, and connects the traffic information with the third POI.

8. The system of claim 2 , wherein the SNS media studio server registers the third POI with respect to at least one specific point from among an accident black spot on the road, a region for which Transport Protocol Expert Group (TPEG) data does not exist, and a chronically congested section.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the SNS media studio server provides, as public information, traffic information associated with the specific point to users located in the specific point or located within a predetermined radius based on the specific point.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the SNS media studio server connects POI related information with the open-type POI when the POI related information is input by the first user with respect to the open-type POI in at least one form of a text, an image, a video, and a voice.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the SNS media studio server performs storing in the database after verifying at least one of the first user, the open-type POI, and the POI related information.

12. The system of claim 1 , wherein the SNS media studio server provides the open-type POI to the second user based on SNS-based information of the second user, in response to a request of the first user or a request of the second user.

13. An open-type point of interest (POI) service system, the system comprising:

a social network service (SNS) media studio server configured to retrieve a plurality of POIs to be displayed on a map for a first user and register, as an open-type POI, at least one of the plurality of POIs which the first user is interested in, the open-type POI being set to be shared with a second user and including a first POI indicating a location of the first user, a second POI indicating the location of the second user, and a third POI indicating a traffic state at a physical location of the third POI

wherein the SNS media studio server comprises;

a map database to store the open-type POI to be associated with the first user; and

an SNS database to store information of the second user with whom the first user sets a relationship,

wherein the open-type POI is shared with a different type of communication terminal by an open application program interface through an SNS for use with a map service on the different type of communication terminal.

The system of claim 13 , wherein the SNS media studio server stores the open-type POI in the database when the first user registers the open-type POI using a first communication terminal, and provides the open-type POI to a second communication terminal that is in a type different from the first communication terminal in response to a request of the first user.

15. The system of claim 13 , wherein the SNS media studio server provides the open-type POI to the second user who is related to the first user by connecting the open-type POI with an SNS.

An information registration device that connects to a social network service (SNS) media studio server, and registers, in the SNS media studio server as an open-type point of interest (POI), a location of interest designated by the first user based on POIs opened by the SNS media studio server or at least one interest POI which the first user is interested in; and

wherein the open-type POI is stored in a map database to be associated with the first user,

wherein the open-type POI is set to be shared with a second user and includes a first POI indicating a location of the first user, a second POI indicating the location of the second user, and a third POI indicating a traffic state at a physical location of the third POI, and

wherein the open-type POI is provided to a second user by an open application program interface through connection with an SNS for use with a map service.

17. The device of claim 16 , wherein the first POI is displayed at a fixed location on a map provided to the first user, the second POI is displayed at a variant location on the map, and the third POI is displayed at a location in a road or near the road on the map.

The device of claim 16 , wherein the information registration device receives, from the first user, an input of POI related information with respect to the open-type POI in at least one form of a text, an image, a video, and a voice, and transmits the POI related information to the SNS media studio server; and

the open-type POI is stored in the SNS media studio server through connection with the POI related information.

19. An open-type point of interest (POI) service method, the method comprising:

retrieving a plurality of POIs to a first user;

registering at least one of the plurality of POIs as an open-type POI;

searching for a second user with whom the first user set a relationship; and

providing the open-type POI to the second user by an open application program interface through a social network service (SNS) for use with a map service,

wherein the open-type POI is set to be shared with the second user and includes a first POI indicating a location of the first user, a second POI indicating the location of the second user, and a third POI indicating a traffic state at a physical location of the third POI.

20. An open-type point of interest (POI) service method, the method comprising:

retrieving a plurality of POIs for a first user;

registering, as an open-type POI, at least one of the plurality of POIs which the first user is interested in; and

storing the open-type POI in a map database to be associated with the first user,

wherein the open-type POI is set to be shared with the second user and includes a first POI indicating a location of the first user, a second POI indicating the location of the second user, and a third POI indicating a traffic state at a physical location of the third POI, and

wherein the open-type POI is shared with a different type of communication terminal related to the first user by an open application program interface through a social network service (SNS) for use with a map service on the different type of communication terminal.
