Abstract

Embodiments relate to controlling a lighting control according to at least one of received signal strength indication (RSSI) and a preset lighting mode. Brightness or/and color temperature of the lighting device may be automatically controlled to two or more levels according to the RSSI and a user's taste. A switch application of the lighting device using the RSSI is operated to facilitate a control by a user, and On/Off or/and brightness of the lighting device are controlled according to the RSSI.

Claims (35)

1. A lighting control device comprising:

a communication unit configured to communicate with a plurality of lighting devices, to respectively receive a received signal strength indication (RSSI) from the plurality of lighting devices, and to transmit a lighting control signal to each of the lighting devices;

a displaying unit configured to display lighting control information for controlling the plurality of lighting devices based on the received RSSI; and

a control unit configured to check the RSSI received from the plurality of lighting devices and to set at least one lighting control information of color temperature and brightness level of the lighting device based on the RSSI;

wherein the lighting control information is changed according to the RSSI;

wherein the control unit is configured to control the lighting devices such that at least one of the color temperature and the brightness level is gradually increased when the RSSI is gradually increased, and at least one of the color temperature and the brightness level is gradually decreased when the RSSI is gradually decreased;

wherein the displaying unit is configured to display a user interface (UI) for controlling the plurality of lighting devices based on the received RSSI;

wherein the displaying unit is configured to display the UI for controlling a lighting device having the RSSI of not less than a preset RSSI value among the plurality of lighting devices;

wherein when the lighting device having the RSSI of not less than a preset RSSI value includes a first lighting device and a second lighting device, the UI for controlling the first lighting device is displayed on a main picture of the display unit, and the UI for controlling the second lighting device is displayed on a sub picture of the display unit; and

wherein the RSSI received from the first lighting device is higher than the RSSI received from the second lighting device.

2. The lighting control device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a storage unit configured to store at least one lighting control information of color temperature and brightness level corresponding to the RSSI,

wherein the control unit transmits the lighting control signal based on the lighting control information corresponding to the RSSI received from each of the lighting devices.

3. The lighting control device of claim 1 , wherein a first lighting device having the RSSI of not less than the preset RSSI value is turned on by the control unit, and a power of a second lighting device having the RSSI of not more than the preset RSSI value is turned off by the control unit.

4. The lighting control device of claim 3 , wherein a third lighting device is turned off by controlling of the control unit when the RSSI of the third lighting device is not received by the communication unit.

5. The lighting control device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the color temperature and the brightness level of the lighting device is automatically controlled by the control unit according to the RSSI received from the lighting device.

6. The lighting control device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the RSSI received from the lighting device, and the color temperature and the brightness level of the lighting device stored and outputted corresponding to the received RSSI, is manually controlled.

7. The lighting control device of claim 1 , wherein the lighting control information is controlled to be changed according to the RSSI received from the lighting device.

8. A lighting device control method comprising:

receiving a received signal strength indication (RSSI) from a plurality of lighting devices, respectively;

confirming the RSSI received from each of the plurality of lighting devices;

setting at least one lighting control information of color temperature and brightness level of the lighting devices based on the RSSI, wherein the lighting control information is changed according to the RSSI; and

displaying a user interface (UI) for controlling the plurality of lighting devices based on the received RSSI;

wherein at least one of the color temperature and the brightness level is gradually increased when the RSSI is gradually increased;

wherein at least one of the color temperature and the brightness level is gradually decreased when the RSSI is gradually decreased;

wherein the displaying of the UI comprises:

confirming a lighting device having the RSSI of not less than a preset RSSI value among the plurality of lighting devices; and

displaying the UI including a menu for setting at least one lighting control information of color temperature and brightness level of the confirmed lighting device;

wherein when the lighting device having the RSSI of not less than a preset RSSI value includes a first lighting device and a second lighting device, the UI for controlling the first lighting device is displayed on a main picture of a display unit, and the UI for controlling the second lighting device is displayed on a sub picture of a display unit; and

wherein the RSSI received from the first lighting device is higher than the RSSI received form the second lighting device.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein a first lighting device having the RSSI of not less than the preset RSSI value is turned on, and a second lighting device having the RSSI of not more than the preset RSSI value is turned off.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein a third lighting device is turned off when the RSSI of the third lighting device is not received by a communication unit.

11. The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

storing at least one lighting control information of color temperature and brightness level corresponding to the RSSI, and

transmitting a lighting control signal to each of the lighting devices based on the lighting control information corresponding to the RSSI received from each of the lighting devices.
