Abstract

A method of installing a panel member on a frame assembly includes the steps of providing a panel member having inner and outer surfaces and providing one or more positioning assemblies on the inner surface of the panel. The positioning assemblies each having an adjustable positioning member adapted to engage a portion of the frame assembly. The method further includes setting the positioning members to determine a registration point for the panel member along the frame assembly. One or more driving assemblies are then provided on the inner surface of the panel, each having a biasing member adapted to engage a portion of the frame assembly to drive the panel member towards the registration point on the frame assembly.

Claims (17)

1. A method of installing a panel member on a frame assembly, comprising the steps of:

providing a panel member having inner and outer surfaces;

providing one or more positioning assemblies on the inner surface of the panel, the one or more positioning assemblies each having an adjustable positioning member adapted to engage at least one of a horizontal frame member and a vertical frame member of the frame assembly;

setting the positioning members to determine a registration point for the panel member;

providing one or more driving assemblies on the inner surface of the panel, the one or more driving assemblies each having a biasing member adapted to engage at least one of the horizontal frame member and the vertical frame member of the frame assembly;

driving the panel member towards the registration point on the frame assembly;

providing one or more latch mechanisms on the inner surface of the panel member, the one or more latch mechanisms each having a latch member adapted to engage the frame assembly; and

latching the one or more latch mechanisms in latched conditions to secure the panel member to the frame assembly.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the panel member includes a top edge, a bottom edge, and first and second side edges.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the step of providing one or more positioning assemblies on the inner surface of the panel member further includes mounting the one or more positioning assemblies along the first side edge.

4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the step of providing one or more driving assemblies on the inner surface of the panel member further includes mounting the one or more driving assemblies along the second side edge.

5. The method of claim 2 , wherein the step of providing one or more positioning assemblies on the inner surface of the panel member further includes mounting the one or more positioning assemblies along the bottom edge.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the step of providing one or more driving assemblies on the inner surface of the panel member further includes mounting the one or more driving assemblies along the top edge.

7. The method of claim 2 , wherein the step of providing one or more positioning assemblies on the inner surface of the panel member further includes mounting the one or more positioning assemblies along the bottom edge and one of the first side edge and the second side edge.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the step of providing one or more driving assemblies on the inner surface of the panel member further includes mounting the one or more driving assemblies along the top edge and an opposite side edge relative to the mounting of the positioning assemblies.

9. The method of claim 1 , including:

locking the one or more latch mechanisms in the latched conditions on the frame assembly.
