METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ESTABLISHING PARAMETERS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGING
The invention relates to systems and methods for the operation of three-dimensional imaging systems. Systems and methods of the invention are operable to display an image of tissue, receive a selection of points from within the image, establish a boundary corresponding to the selected points, and capture a three-dimensional image of the tissue within the designated boundary
1 . A method of imaging tissue comprising:
displaying, using an electronic device, a first image of tissue;
receiving into the electronic device a selection of points within the image;
establishing a boundary corresponding to the selected points; and
capturing a three-dimensional image of the tissue within the designated boundary.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the capturing step comprises moving an image capture device along a line.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selection of points comprises computer input designating a set of pixels in the image.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the three-dimensional image is captured by an image capture device inside of the tissue.
5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising capturing the first image using the image capture device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the three-dimensional image is captured with sound waves or light waves.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selection of points is received through the use of a graphical user interface rendered by a computer program application.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selection of points comprises the use of a computer pointing device.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selected boundary comprises start and stop points for a translation of an intraluminal catheter.
10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying a portion of the three-dimensional image.
11 . A device for imaging tissue comprising:
an electronic device comprising a non-transitory memory coupled to a processor and configured to:
display a first image;
receive a selection of points from within the first image;
establish a boundary corresponding to the selected points; and
capture a three-dimensional image of the tissue within the designated boundary.
12 . The device of claim 11 , further configured to capture the three-dimensional image by moving an image capture device along a line.
13 . The device of claim 11 , wherein receiving the selection of points comprises receiving computer input designating a set of pixels in the image.
14 . The device of claim 11 , further comprising an image capture unit configured to capture the three-dimensional image inside of the tissue.
15 . The device of claim 14 , wherein the image capture unit is configured to capture the first image.
16 . The device of claim 11 , configured to capture the three-dimensional image using sound waves or light waves.
17 . The device of claim 11 , further configured to render a graphical user interface to receive the selection of points.
18 . The device of claim 11 , further comprising a computer pointing device configured to be used in receiving the selection of points.
19 . The device of claim 11 , further comprising an intraluminal catheter and further wherein the established boundary comprises start and stop points for a translation of the intraluminal catheter.
