Communication apparatus and method
View Patent ↗A communication apparatus and method for operating a communication apparatus are provided. The communication apparatus is configured to determine whether a sub-frequency band causing interference is present among sub-frequency bands included in a reception frequency band group, and to send to another communication apparatus an interference avoidance request signal which requests the other communication apparatus to transmit signals by use of remaining sub-frequency bands except the sub-frequency band causing interference, leading to simpler and more efficient interference avoidance.
1. A communication apparatus, comprising:
a signal transmission unit configured to process signals of a transmission frequency band and configured to transmit the processed signals;
a signal reception unit configured to receive signals of a reception frequency band and configured to process the received signals; and
a control unit configured to control the signal transmission unit and the signal reception unit,
wherein the control unit comprises an interference avoidance unit configured to select a frequency hopping scheme comprising a band hopping sequence excluding a frequency band causing interference, configured to generate a signal related to information about the frequency hopping scheme, and configured to provide another communication apparatus with the signal related to the information.
2. The communication apparatus of claim 1 ,
wherein the signal related to the information requests the other communication apparatus to transmit signals according to the selected frequency hopping scheme.
3. A method for operating a communication apparatus, the method comprising:
selecting a frequency hopping scheme comprising a band hopping sequence excluding a band causing interference;
generating a signal related to information about the frequency hopping scheme; and
providing another communication apparatus with the signal related to the information.
4. The method of claim 3 ,
wherein the signal related to the information requests the other communication apparatus to transmit signals according to the selected frequency hopping scheme.
