Abstract

A method for maintaining a time advance timer, a base station and terminal equipment, the method includes: judging by a base station whether a band to be uplink adjusted includes only the band where a primary cell is located; and transmitting by the base station a time advance command to the band where the primary cell is located if the band where the primary cell is located is only included, such that the time advance timer to which the band where the primary cell is located corresponds is restarted. The advantages exist in that by processing time advance timers by the base station or the terminal, the time advance timer to which the band where the PCell is located corresponds expires at last, thereby preventing interruption of communications of the terminal due to advanced expiration of the time advance timer to which the band where the PCell is located corresponds.

Claims (26)

1. A method for maintaining a timer relating to an uplink synchronization, the method comprising:

treating as expired by a terminal the running of a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for bands corresponding to secondary cells, flushing all hybrid automatic repeat request buffers in the bands corresponding to the secondary cell and a band corresponding to a primary cell, releasing a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signal carriers in all the bands, and clearing configured downlink assignments and uplink grants when a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell has expired and when the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for bands corresponding to the secondary cells is running.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises:

when an expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell and when all timers relating to uplink synchronization for the bands corresponding to the secondary cells have expired, flushing by the terminal a hybrid automatic repeat request buffer in the band corresponding to the primary cell, releasing a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signal carriers in the band corresponding to the primary cell, and clearing configured downlink assignments and uplink grants.

3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises:

when the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is not the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell, flushing by the terminal a hybrid automatic repeat request buffer in the band associated with the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization and releasing specific resources corresponding to carriers in the band with the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization in a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signals corresponding to the carriers in the band with the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization.

4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the band corresponds to a plurality of carriers, when transmission properties of the plurality of carriers are identical, or when a difference between the transmission properties of the plurality of carriers is less than predetermined threshold value.

5. A method for maintaining a timer relating to an uplink synchronization, the method comprising:

flushing, by a terminal, a hybrid automatic repeat request buffer in a band corresponding to a primary cell, releasing a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signals corresponding to carriers in the band corresponding to the primary cell, clearing configured downlink assignments and uplink grants, and initiating a random access procedure when an expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell and when a timer relating to an uplink synchronization associated with a band corresponding to a secondary cell is running.

6. A method for maintaining a timer relating to an uplink synchronization, the method comprising:

flushing by a terminal a hybrid automatic repeat request buffer in a band corresponding to a primary cell and in bands corresponding to secondary cells, releasing a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signals corresponding to carriers in all the bands, and clearing configured downlink assignments and uplink grants when expired timers relating to uplink synchronization include a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to a primary cell and include a timer relating to uplink synchronization for the bands corresponding to the secondary cells.

7. A terminal equipment comprising:

a processor circuit coupled to a receiver, the processor configured to:

determine whether an expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for a band corresponding to a primary cell,

when it is determined that the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell, determine whether a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for bands corresponding to secondary cells has expired, and

when it is determined that the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell and when it is determined that the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the bands corresponding to the secondary cells is running, consider expired the running of the timer relating to an uplink synchronization associated with the bands corresponding to the secondary cells, flush all hybrid automatic repeat request buffers in all the bands, release a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signals corresponding to carriers in all the bands, and clear configured downlink assignments and uplink grants.

8. The terminal equipment according to claim 7 , wherein the processor circuit further configured to:

when it is determined that the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell and when it is determined that all timers relating to uplink synchronization for the bands corresponding to the secondary cells have expired, flush a hybrid automatic repeat request buffer in the band corresponding to the primary cell, release a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signals corresponding to carriers in the band corresponding to the primary cell, and clear any configured downlink assignments and uplink grants.

9. The terminal equipment according to claim 7 , wherein the processor circuit further configured to:

when the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is not the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell, flush all hybrid automatic repeat request buffers in the band associated with the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization and release specific resources corresponding to carriers in the band for the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization in a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signals corresponding to the carriers in the band with the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization.

10. A terminal equipment comprising:

a processor circuit coupled to a receiver, the processor configured to:

determine whether an expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for a band corresponding to a primary cell,

when it is determined that the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell, determine whether a timer relating to an uplink synchronization for bands corresponding to secondary cells has expired,

when it is determined that the expired timer relating to an uplink synchronization is the timer relating to an uplink synchronization for the band corresponding to the primary cell and when it is determined that the timer relating to an uplink synchronization associated with the bands corresponding to the secondary cells is running, flush a hybrid automatic repeat request buffer in the band corresponding to the primary cell, release a physical uplink control channel and sounding reference signals corresponding to carriers in the band corresponding to the primary cell, and clear configured downlink assignments and uplink grants, and
