Abstract

A method for configured maximum output power reporting and user equipment including: judging sequentially by user equipment whether there exists non-adaptive retransmission of uplink data in each of serving cells, or judging whether a base station schedules only channel status information in each of serving cells and does not allocate an uplink grant to transmit data of an uplink shared channel when the user equipment triggers a power headroom report at a current subframe, the base station allocates an uplink grant to the user equipment for transmitting new data in an uplink shared channel, and the uplink grant is capable of containing the power headroom report; obtaining, if the result of judging is positive, by the user equipment, a configured maximum output power of the corresponding serving cell; and reporting the obtained configured maximum output power to the base station.

Claims (20)

1. A method for configured maximum output power reporting, comprising:

in addition to judging, by user equipment, whether for a current subframe the user equipment has an uplink grant for new data transmission on each activated serving cell configured with an uplink carrier, judging by the user equipment whether for the current subframe it has non-adaptive retransmission of uplink data on each activated serving cell configured with an uplink carrier, when for the current subframe the user equipment has an uplink grant for new data transmission on an uplink shared channel and a power headroom report has been triggered at the current subframe, and the uplink grant is capable of containing the power headroom report;

obtaining from a physical layer, by the user equipment, a value of a configured maximum output power corresponding to the serving cell if for the current subframe the user equipment has non-adaptive retransmission of uplink data on the serving cell; and

reporting the obtained configured maximum output power from the physical layer to the base station.

2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the user equipment reports to the base station with the power headroom report containing the configured maximum output power.

3. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:

judging by the user equipment whether a base station schedules only channel status information transmission on each activated serving cell configured with an uplink carrier but does not allocate an uplink grant to transmit data of an uplink shared channel; and

obtaining from a physical layer, by the user equipment, a value of a configured maximum output power corresponding to the serving cell if a base station schedules only channel status information transmission but does not allocate an uplink grant to transmit data of an uplink shared channel on the serving cell.

4. User equipment, comprising:

a memory configured to store a plurality of instructions;

a processor coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions to:

judge whether the user equipment has an uplink grant allocated by a base station for new data transmission on an uplink shared channel on each serving cell configured with an uplink carrier,

judge whether a power headroom report has been triggered at a current subframe when the user equipment has an uplink grant allocated by a base station for new data transmission on an uplink shared channel on each serving cell configured with an uplink carrier,

judge whether the uplink grant is capable of containing the power headroom report when a power headroom report has been triggered at a current subframe,

judge whether for the current subframe the user equipment has non-adaptive retransmission of uplink data on each activated serving cell configured with an uplink carrier when the uplink grant is capable of containing the power headroom report, and

obtain from a physical layer a value of a configured maximum output power corresponding to the serving cell if for the current subframe the user equipment has non-adaptive retransmission of uplink data on the serving cell; and

a transmitter, configured to, in conjunction with the processor, report to the base station the configured maximum output power from the physical layer.

5. The user equipment according to claim 4 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

judge whether a base station schedules only channel status information transmission on each activated serving cell configured with an uplink carrier but does not allocate an uplink grant to transmit data of an uplink shared channel;

obtain from a physical layer a value of a configured maximum output power corresponding to the serving cell if for the current subframe a base station schedules only channel status information transmission but does not allocate an uplink grant to transmit data of an uplink shared channel on the serving cell.
