Abstract

Techniques for data-capable band management in an integrated application and network communication data environment are described, including storing in memory a first operational mode and a second operational mode, the first operational mode being associated with a parameter and being configured to operate on an input received from one or more sensors coupled to a wearable computing device using a rule, setting the second operational mode, receiving data at the wearable computing device, the data comprising the input received from the one or more sensors while in the second operational mode, generating a signal indicating whether the data matches the parameter of the first operational mode substantially within a tolerance, classifying the input as received in the first operational mode if the signal indicates the data matches the parameter substantially within the tolerance, and performing an operation on the input using the rule of the first operational mode.

Claims (34)

1 . A method, comprising:

storing in memory a first operational mode and a second operational mode, the first operational mode being associated with a parameter and being configured to operate on an input received from one or more sensors coupled to a wearable computing device using a rule;

setting the second operational mode;

receiving data at the wearable computing device, the data comprising the input received from the one or more sensors while in the second operational mode;

generating a signal indicating whether the data matches the parameter of the first operational mode substantially within a tolerance;

classifying the input as received in the first operational mode if the signal indicates the data matches the parameter substantially within the tolerance; and

performing an operation on the input using the rule of the first operational mode.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first operational mode is a sleep mode.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the parameter comprises a time of day.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the parameter comprises a level of movement.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the rule comprises processing the input to determine whether the input is associated with deep sleep.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the input comprises motion data.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the input comprises biometric data.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more sensors comprises a galvanic skin resistance sensor.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the parameter comprises a time range at a prior time during which the first operational mode was set.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the parameter comprises motion data received from the one or more sensors at a prior time during which the first operational mode was set.

11 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising measuring the length of time during which the data matches the parameter substantially within the tolerance.

12 . A system, comprising:

a memory configured to store an input received from a sensor coupled to a wearable computing device, a first operational mode, the first operational mode being associated with a parameter and being configured to operate on the input using a rule, and a second operational mode; and

a processor configured to set the second operational mode, to receive data, the data comprising the input received from the sensor while in the second operational mode, to generate a signal indicating whether the data matches the parameter of the first operational mode substantially within a tolerance, to classify the input as received in the first operational mode if the signal indicates the data matches the parameter substantially within the tolerance, and to perform an operation on the input using the rule of the first operational mode.

13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the parameter comprises a noise level.

14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the data comprises clock data.

15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the sensor is an audio sensor.

16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the sensor is a light sensor.

17 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the parameter comprises a prior time at which the first operational mode was set.

18 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the parameter comprises audio data received from the sensor at a prior time during which the first operational mode was set.

19 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the first operational mode is a sleep mode, the processor is further configured to measure a sleep duration, the sleep duration being a length of time during which the data matches the parameter substantially within the tolerance, and the rule comprises displaying on a user interface in data communication with the wearable computing device information indicating the sleep duration.

20 . A computer program product embodied in a computer readable medium and comprising computer instructions for:

storing in memory a first operational mode and a second operational mode, the first operational mode being associated with a parameter and being configured to operate on an input received from one or more sensors coupled to a wearable computing device using a rule;

setting the second operational mode;

receiving data at the wearable computing device, the data comprising the input received from the one or more sensors while in the second operational mode;

generating a signal indicating whether the data matches the parameter of the first operational mode substantially within a tolerance;

classifying the input as received in the first operational mode if the signal indicates the data matches the parameter substantially within the tolerance; and

performing an operation on the input using the rule of the first operational mode.
