BILLING STATEMENT CUSTOMER ACQUISITION SYSTEM
Some described embodiments provide for selecting (e.g., by a server computer from a plurality of transaction records), a transaction record associated with a financial account of an account holder. In one example, the transaction record includes an indication of an amount due, by the account holder, for a previous purchase completed by the account holder with a first merchant. Some embodiments provide further for generating a billing statement for the account holder, the billing statement including an indication of the amount due by the account holder for the previous completed purchase and an indication of an acquisition offer, in which the acquisition offer comprises a promise from a second merchant to pay at least a portion of the amount due by the account holder, and transmitting the billing statement to the account holder.
1 . A system, comprising:
a memory storing information about user accounts, wherein the information comprises an amount owed by a user to an entity; and
one or more processors in communication with the memory and configured for
determining an offer to provide to a user, based at least in part on an amount owed by the user to a first entity; and
providing, electronically, the offer to the user, wherein the offer comprises a second entity paying at least a portion of a payment obligation of the user to the first entity in exchange for the user agreeing to become a customer of the second entity.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors is configured for further transmitting the offer electronically to the user.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors is configured for further receiving an indication whether the offer was accepted by the user.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the offer is presented on an electronic billing statement or invoice on the device.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured for further receiving an acceptance of the offer and notifying the second entity.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second entity is a division of the first entity.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the second entity pays an entire payment obligation of the user to the first entity.
8 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-readable instructions which when executed by one or more processors of a server are adapted to cause the server to perform a method comprising:
determining an offer to provide to a user, based at least in part on an amount owed by the user to a first entity; and
providing, electronically, the offer to the user, wherein the offer comprises a second entity paying at least a portion of a payment obligation of the user to the first entity in exchange for the user agreeing to become a customer of the second entity.
9 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the method further comprises transmitting the offer electronically to the user.
10 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the method further comprises receiving an indication whether the offer was accepted by the user.
11 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the offer is presented on an electronic billing statement or invoice on the device.
12 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the method further comprises receiving an acceptance of the offer and notifying the second entity.
13 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the second entity is a division of the first entity.
14 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the second entity pays an entire payment obligation of the user to the first entity.
15 . A method, comprising:
determining, electronically by a hardware processor of a service provider, an offer to provide to a user, based at least in part on an amount owed by the user to a first entity; and
providing, electronically by the hardware processor, the offer to the user, wherein the offer comprises a second entity paying at least a portion of a payment obligation of the user to the first entity in exchange for the user agreeing to become a customer of the second entity.
16 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising transmitting the offer electronically to the user.
17 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising receiving an indication whether the offer was accepted by the user.
18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the offer is presented on an electronic billing statement or invoice on the device.
19 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising receiving an acceptance of the offer and notifying the second entity.
20 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the second entity is a division of the first entity.
21 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the second entity pays an entire payment obligation of the user to the first entity.
