Abstract

A voice key includes a voice sensor, a microprocessor chip, a storage device, a port, a record button, and an enter button. When the voice key is connected to a computing device and the record button is pressed, the voice sensor is triggered to record a voice signal input by a user. The microprocessor chip converts the voice signal into a password, stores the password in the storage device, and sends the password to the computing device to lock the computing device. When the voice key is connected to the computing device again and the enter button is pressed, the microprocessor chip retrieves the password from the storage device and sends the password to the computing device. The computing device is unlocked in response to determining that the received password matches the password stored in the computing device.

Claims (31)

1 . A voice key, comprising:

a port that connects the voice key to a computing device;

a storage device; and

a microprocessor chip that includes one or more programs, when executed by the microprocessor chip, causing the microprocessor chip to perform operations of:

in response to receiving a first signal of a record button being pressed by a user, triggering a voice sensor of the voice key to record a voice signal input by a user;

converting the voice signal into a password and storing the password into the storage device; and

sending the password to the computing device, locking the computing device by the password, and electronically disconnecting the voice key from the computing device.

2 . The voice key as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:

in response to a second instance of connecting the voice key to the computing device and receiving a second signal of an enter button being pressed by the user, retrieving the password from the storage device and sending the password to the computing device to unlock the computing device.

3 . The voice key as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the record button and the enter button are physical buttons configured on the voice key.

4 . The voice key as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the record button and the enter button are virtual icons displayed on a display device of the computing device and are selectable by the user.

5 . The voice key as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the voice signal is converted into a digital signal, and the digital signal is processed using a preset rule to generate the password.

6 . A method for protecting security of a computing device, comprising:

electronically connecting a voice key to the computing device;

in response to receiving a first signal of a record button being pressed by a user, triggering a voice sensor of the voice key to record a voice signal input by a user by a microprocessor chip of the voice key;

converting the voice signal into a password, storing the password into a storage device of the voice key, and sending the password to the computing device by the microprocessor chip; and

locking the computing device by the password, and electronically disconnecting the voice key from the computing device.

7 . The method as claimed in claim 6 , further comprising:

in response to a second instance of connecting the voice key to the computing device again and receiving a second signal of an enter button being pressed by the user, retrieving the password from the storage device and sending the password to the computing device by the microprocessor to unlock the computing device.

8 . The method as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the record button and the enter button are physical buttons configured on the voice key.

9 . The method as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the record button and the enter button are virtual icons displayed on a display device of the computing device and are selectable by the user.

10 . The method as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the voice signal is converted into a digital signal, and the digital signal is processed using a preset rule to generate the password.

11 . A microprocessor chip of a voice key having stored thereon instructions that causes the microprocessor chip to perform operations:

in response to connecting the voice key to a computing device and receiving a first signal of a record button being pressed by a user, triggering a voice sensor of the voice key to record a voice signal input by a user;

converting the voice signal into a password and storing the password into a storage device of the voice key; and

sending the password to the computing device, locking the computing device by the password, and electronically disconnecting the voice key from the computing device.

12 . The microprocessor chip as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:

in response to a second instance of connecting the voice key to the computing device again and receiving a second signal of an enter button being pressed by the user, retrieving the password from the storage device and sending the password to the computing device to unlock the computing device.

13 . The microprocessor chip as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the record button and the enter button are physical buttons configured on the voice key.

14 . The microprocessor chip as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the record button and the enter button are virtual icons displayed on a display device of the computing device and are selectable by the user.

15 . The microprocessor chip as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the voice signal is converted into a digital signal, and the digital signal is processed using a preset rule to generate the password.
