Abstract

The present invention overcomes image defects such as the brightness inclination or smears by reducing the line resistance of a power source bus line which supplies electricity to organic EL elements. A plurality of pixels which are arranged in a matrix array is connected to power source lines, and the plurality of power source lines are connected to a power source bus line. Both ends of the power source bus line are connected to a power source part via a FPC. By supplying electricity to both ends of the power source bus line from the power source part, the line resistance of the power source bus line can be reduced.

Claims (12)

1. An organic EL display device comprising:

a substrate ( 11 ) having a display region ( 21 );

a data line drive circuit ( 29 ) mounted on a first side of the substrate ( 11 ),

a scanning line drive circuit ( 28 ) mounted on a second side adjacent to the first side of the substrate ( 11 ) and

a flexible printed circuit ( 16 ) connected to the substrate ( 11 ), wherein:

the display region ( 21 ) has a plurality of pixels ( 22 ) arranged in a matrix array, power source lines ( 23 ) connected to the plurality of pixels, data lines ( 27 ) supplying data signals to the plurality of pixels ( 22 ), and scanning lines ( 26 ) supplying scanning signals to the plurality of pixels ( 22 ),

a power source bus line ( 24 ) is elongated along the display region and connected to the power source lines ( 23 ), the power source bus line ( 24 ) is arranged between the display region ( 21 ) and the drive circuit ( 29 ), and

electricity is supplied from a power source ( 25 ) via the flexible printed circuit ( 16 ) to a plurality of electricity supply portions of the power source bus line, and the electricity is supplied through between edge of the substrate ( 11 ) and the data line drive circuit ( 29 ), and

the scanning signal is supplied to the scanning line drive circuit ( 28 ) through between an edge of the power source bus line ( 24 ) and the edge of the second side of the substrate ( 11 ).

2. An organic EL display according to claim 1 , wherein the power source bus line is elongated along an outer edge of the display region.

3. An organic EL display according to claim 1 , wherein the power source bus line is arranged between a display region and the data line drive circuit.

4. An organic EL display according to claim 1 , wherein the power source lines are connect at opposite side of display region.
