Abstract

Compounds of formula I wherein the substituents are as defined in claim 1 , and the agrochemically acceptable salts and all stereoisomers and tautomeric forms of the compounds of formula I can be used as insecticides and can be prepared in a manner known per se.

Claims (34)

1. A compound of formula I

wherein

X is nitrogen or C—R 1 ;

Y is nitrogen or C—R 4 ;

R 1 is hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 alkyl or halogen;

R 2 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl which is optionally mono- to polysubstituted by substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, cyano, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, C 1 -C 6 haloalkoxy, C 1 -C 6 alkylthio, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylthio, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfonyl and C 1 -C 6 haloalkylsulfonyl; or

R 2 is C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl which is optionally mono- to polysubstituted by substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, cyano, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, C 1 -C 6 haloalkoxy, C 1 -C 6 alkylthio, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylthio, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfonyl and C 1 -C 6 haloalkylsulfonyl;

R 3 is a five- to ten-membered monocyclic or fused bicyclic ring system which is optionally aromatic, partially saturated or fully saturated and can contain 1 to 4 hetero atoms selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, each ring system does not contain more than 2 oxygen atoms and more than 2 sulfur atoms, and the five- to ten-membered ring system itself is optionally mono- to polysubstituted by substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, cyano, nitro, amino, hydroxy, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 2 -C 6 alkenyl, C 2 -C 6 alkynyl, C 2 -C 6 alkynyloxy, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl, C 5 -C 7 cycloalkenyl, C 5 -C 8 cycloalkynyl, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkylamino, C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl, C 2 -C 6 haloalkenyl, C 2 -C 6 haloalkynyl, C 3 -C 6 halocycloalkyl, C 2 -C 7 halocycloalkenyl, C 2 -C 8 halocycloalkynyl, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy-C 1 -C 6 alkylamino, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, C 1 -C 6 haloalkoxy, C 1 -C 6 alkylthio, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylthio, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfonyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylamino, di-(C 1 -C 6 alkyl)amino, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkylamino, C 1 -C 6 alkyl-C 3 -C 6 cycloalkylamino, C 1 -C 6 alkylcarbonyl, C 1 -C 6 alkoxycarbonyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylaminocarbonyl, C 1 -C 6 dialkylaminocarbonyl, C 1 -C 6 alkoxycarbonyloxy, C 1 -C 6 alkylaminocarbonyloxy, C 1 -C 6 dialkylaminocarbonyloxy, tri-(C 1 -C 6 alkyl)silyl or phenyl, where the phenyl group is optionally mono- to polysubstituted by substituents independently selected from the group consisting of hydroxy, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, C 1 -C 6 alkylthio, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylthio, C 2 -C 6 alkenylthio, C 2 -C 6 haloalkenylthio, C 2 -C 6 alkynylthio, C 1 -C 3 alkoxy-C 1 -C 3 alkylthio, C 1 -C 4 alkylcarbonyl-C 1 -C 3 alkylthio, C 1 -C 4 alkoxycarbonyl-C 1 -C 3 alkylthio, cyano-C 1 -C 3 alkylthio, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfonyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkylsulfonyl, aminosulfonyl, C 1 -C 2 alkylaminosulfonyl, N,N-di-(C 1 -C 2 alkyl)aminosulfonyl, di(C 1 -C 4 alkyl)amino, halogen, cyano and nitro; and the substituents at the nitrogen atoms in the ring systems being other than halogen; and

R 4 is hydrogen or halogen;

and agrochemically acceptable salts, enantiomers, tautomers and N-oxides of those compounds.

2. A compound of formula I according to claim 1 , wherein

said ring system R 3 is aromatic.

3. A compound of formula I according to claim 2 , wherein

R 3 is mono- to polysubstituted by substituents selected from the group consisting of C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 haloalkyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylthio, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy-C 1 -C 6 alkylamino, C 1 -C 6 alkoxycarbonyl, C 2 -C 6 alkynyloxy, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl, halogen, cyano, nitro, amino, di-(C 1 -C 6 alkyl)amino, C 3 -C 6 cycloalkylamino and phenyl, where the phenyl group is optionally mono- to polysubstituted by substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen and C 1 -C 6 alkoxy.

4. A compound of formula I according to claim 2 , wherein

the ring system R 3 is a six-membered aromatic ring system containing 2 nitrogen atoms.

5. A compound of formula I according to claim 2 , wherein said ring system R 3 is selected from the group consisting of [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazinyl, pyridazinyl, pyridyl, pyrimidinyl and quinazolinyl.

6. A compound of formula I according to claim 2 , wherein

the ring system R 3 is 2-pyrimidyl.

7. A compound of formula I according to claim 1 , wherein

R 2 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl which is optionally mono- to disubstituted by substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, cyano, C 1 -C 6 alkoxy, C 1 -C 6 alkylthio, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfinyl and C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfonyl.

8. A compound of formula I according to claim 1 , wherein

R 1 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl or halogen; and

R 2 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl.

9. A compound of formula I according to claim 1 , wherein

R 1 is methyl or chloro; and

R 2 is methyl.

10. A compound of formula I according to claim 1 , wherein

R 4 is hydrogen or fluorine.

11. A pesticidal composition, which comprises at least one compound of formula I according to claim 1 or, a tautomer thereof, in free form or in agrochemically utilizable salt form, as active ingredient and at least one auxiliary.

12. A composition according to claim 11 for controlling insects or representatives of the order Acarina.

13. A method for controlling pests, which comprises applying a composition according to claim 11 to pests or to an environment of the pests with the exception of a method for treatment of a human or an animal body by surgery or therapy and diagnostic methods practised on the human or animal body.

14. A method for protection of plant propagation material from attack by pests, which comprises treating the propagation material or a site where the propagation material is planted with a composition according to claim 11 .

15. Plant propagation material treated in accordance with the method described in claim 14 .
