Methods for treating HCV
View Patent ↗The present invention features interferon-free therapies for the treatment of HCV. Preferably, the treatment is over a shorter duration, such as no more than 12 weeks. In one aspect, the therapies comprise administering at least two direct acting antiviral agents and ribavirin to a subject with HCV infection. For example, the therapies comprise administering to the subject effective amounts of therapeutic agent 1, therapeutic agent 2 (or therapeutic agent 3), an inhibitor of cytochrome P450 (e.g., ritonavir), and ribavirin.
1. A method of treatment for HCV, comprising administering at least two direct acting antiviral agents (DAAs) and ribavirin to a patient infected with HCV genotype 1, wherein said treatment lasts for 8 or 12 weeks and does not include administration of interferon to said patient, wherein said at least two
DAAs comprise Compound 1
Compound 4
and PSI-7977, and wherein Compound 1 is administered with ritonavir.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein said patient is a treatment-naïve patient.
