IMAGING PROTOCOLS
Protocols for radioimaging an event or disorder are provided. An exemplary protocol comprises a method of radioimaging a myocardial perfusion, the method comprising in sequence: (a) administering to a subject about 3 mCi Tl201 thallous chloride; (b) allowing said subject to rest; (c) radioimaging a heart of said subject; (d) subjecting said subject to a physical stress; (e) administering to said subject at a peak of said physical stress about 20-30 mCi Tc99m sestamibi; and (f) radioimaging said heart of said subject, thereby radioimaging a myocardial perfusion.
1 . A method of radioimaging a myocardial perfusion, the method comprising in sequence:
(a) administering to a subject about 3 mCi Tc99m sestamibi;
(b) radioimaging a heart of said subject;
(c) subjecting said subject to a pharmacological stress;
(d) administering to said subject at a peak of said pharmacological stress an additional radiopharmaceutical;
(e) radioimaging said heart of said subject; and
(f) radioimaging said heart of said subject, thereby radioimaging a myocardial perfusion.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said additional radiopharmaceutical comprises about 3 mCi Tl201 thallous chloride.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said additional radiopharmaceutical comprises an additional dose of Tc99m sestamibi.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (b) is effected immediately following step (a).
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (b) is within 2 minutes.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (c) is effected immediately following step (b).
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (d) is effected within 2 minutes following step (c).
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (e) is effected immediately following step (d).
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (e) is within 4 minutes.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (f) is effected within 4 hours following step (e).
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein step (f) is within 6 minutes.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said pharmacological stress is adenosine or dipyridamole.
13 . The method of claim 1 , effected as described in Table 8.
14 . A method of radioimaging a myocardial perfusion, the method comprising in sequence:
(a) administering to a subject about 0.3 mCi Tl201 thallous chloride;
(b) radioimaging a heart of said subject;
(c) subjecting said subject to a physical stress;
(d) administering to said subject at a peak of said physical stress about 3 mCi Tc99m sestamibi; and
(e) radioimaging said heart of said subject, thereby radioimaging a myocardial perfusion.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein step (b) is effected within 10-15 minutes following step (a).
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein step (b) is within 15 minutes.
17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein step (c) is immediately following step (b).
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein step (e) is effected within 30-60 minutes following step (d).
19 . The method of claim 14 , wherein step (e) is within 15 minutes.
20 . The method of claim 14 , effected as described in Table 14.
