Information processing device and method for managing file

1. An information processing device comprising:

a storage device configured to store a plurality of files constituting a digital content item;

a processing section configured to: (i) obtain the digital content item from a server connected to a network, (ii) record the plurality of files of the digital content item in the storage device, wherein each file of the plurality of files belongs to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belongs to each group, (iii) determine whether all of one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to a first group of the plurality of groups have completed recording in the storage device, prior to all other groups of the plurality of groups have completed recording during execution of download processing, and (iv) produce a signal indicating a result of the determination; and

a content executing section configured to begin executing a part of the digital content item based on the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group, and prior to the completion of the recording of at least some of all the other groups of the plurality of groups, upon: (i) the processing section determining that all of the one or more files belonging to the first group are recorded in the storage device, (ii) the content executing section receiving an instruction during the execution of the download processing, and (iii) the issuance of the signal indicating the completion of the recording of all of the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group.

2. The information processing device according to claim 1 , the content executing section executes the digital content item on receiving the instruction from a user.

3. The information processing device according to claim 1 , wherein according to group identifying information identifying a group of files within the plurality of files specified from the digital content item, the processing section obtains a file belonging to the group of files from the server.

4. The information processing device according to claims 1 , wherein:

information on a language to be used is set in the information processing device, and

the processing section downloads a file belonging to a group of files within the plurality of files corresponding to a language set in the information processing device, the group of files being included in groups set for a plurality of languages, and does not download a file belonging to the group not corresponding to the language set in the information processing device.

The information processing device according to claim 1 , wherein when a plurality of digital content items are determined as download objects, the processing section preferentially obtains one or more files belonging to a first group of each of the digital content items, the first group being to be downloaded first.

6. The information processing device according to claim 1 , wherein: the processing section is further configured to receive information specifying download order of the plurality of groups from a user, and to download the plurality of files of the digital content item according to the received information.

7. A file managing method comprising:

storing a plurality of files constituting a digital content item in a storage device;

obtaining the digital content item from a server connected to a network;

recording a plurality of files of the digital content item in the storage device, wherein each file of the plurality of files belonging to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belongs to each group;

determining whether all of one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to a first group of the plurality of groups have completed recording in the storage device, prior to all other groups of the plurality of groups having completed recording during execution of download processing;

producing a signal indicating a result of the determination; and

beginning executing a part of the digital content item based on the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group, and prior to the completion of the recording of at least some of all the other groups of the plurality of groups, upon: (i) the determination that all of the one or more files belonging to the first group are recorded in the storage device, (ii) receiving an instruction during the execution of the download processing, and (iii) the issuance of the signal indicating the completion of the recording of all of the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group.

8. A computer containing a microprocessor operating under the control of a computer program, which causes the computer to execute actions, including:

storing a plurality of files constituting a digital content item in a storage device;

obtaining the digital content item from a server connected to a network;

recording a plurality of files of the digital content item in the storage device, wherein each file of the plurality of files belonging to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belongs to each group;

determining whether all of one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to a first group of the plurality of groups have completed recording in the storage device, prior to all other groups of the plurality of groups having completed recording during execution of download processing;

producing a signal indicating a result of the determination; and

beginning executing a part of the digital content item based on the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group, and prior to the completion of the recording of at least some of all the other groups of the plurality of groups, upon: (i) the determination that all of the one or more files belonging to the first group are recorded in the storage device, (ii) receiving an instruction during the execution of the download processing, and (iii) the issuance of the signal indicating the completion of the recording of all of the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group.

9. A non-transitory, computer readable recording medium on which a computer program is recorded, the computer program, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to execute actions, including:

storing a plurality of files constituting a digital content item in a storage device;

obtaining the digital content item from a server connected to a network;

recording a plurality of files of the digital content item in the storage device, wherein each file of the plurality of files belonging to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belongs to each group;

determining whether all of one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to a first group of the plurality of groups have completed recording in the storage device, prior to all other groups of the plurality of groups having completed recording during execution of download processing;

producing a signal indicating a result of the determination; and

beginning executing a part of the digital content item based on the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group, and prior to the completion of the recording of at least some of all the other groups of the plurality of groups, upon: (i) the determination that all of the one or more files belonging to the first group are recorded in the storage device, (ii) receiving an instruction during the execution of the download processing, and (iii) the issuance of the signal indicating the completion of the recording of all of the one or more files of the plurality of files belonging to the first group.
