Stimulating reviews at a point of sale

1. A system, comprising:

a processor configured to, using a set of one or more interfaces:

solicit a user who, at the time of the solicitation, is interacting with a device located on a premise of a business, to provide a review for the business;

receive review data from the user;

transmit the review data to a remote reputation platform configured to:

evaluate the received review data;

determine, based at least in part on the received review data and one or more thresholds, that a supplemental request with respect to the review should be transmitted to the user, wherein the supplemental request comprises a request for user permission to post the review to an external review site on the user's behalf; and

facilitate the transmission of the supplemental request at least in part by sending instructions to obtain the requested user permission;

receive the instructions from the remote reputation platform;

while the user is interacting with the device located on the premise of the business, request, in accordance with the received instructions, the requested user permission;

obtain the user's permission to post the review to the external review site on the user's behalf; and

obtain the user's credentials for the external review site;

wherein the remote reputation platform is further configured to facilitate posting of the review to the external review site on the user's behalf at least in part by using the obtained user's credentials for the external review site; and

a memory coupled to the processor and configured to provide the processor with instructions.

2. The system of claim 1 wherein the remote reputation platform is configured to evaluate the received review data at least in part by determining, based at least in part on the one or more thresholds, whether the review provided by the user is positive or negative.

3. The system of claim 2 wherein the remote reputation platform is configured to determine that the supplemental request should be transmitted based at least in part on the remote reputation platform determining that the review provided by the user is positive.

4. The system of claim 1 wherein the processor is configured to determine whether the review provided by the user is positive or negative prior to transmitting the review data to the remote reputation platform.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein posting of the review to the external review site is facilitated in response to obtaining the user's permission to post the review on the user's behalf.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein facilitating the transmission of the supplemental request includes transmitting the supplemental request to the device.

7. A method, comprising:

soliciting a user who, at the time of solicitation, is interacting with a device located on a premise of a business, to provide a review for the business;

receiving, using a set of one or more interfaces, review data from the user;

transmitting the review data to a remote reputation platform configured to:

evaluate the received review data;

determine, using a set of one or more processors and based at least in part on the received review data and one or more thresholds, that a supplemental request with respect to the review should be transmitted to the user, wherein the supplemental request comprises a request for user permission to post the review to an external review site on the user's behalf; and

facilitate the transmission of the supplemental request at least in part by sending instructions to obtain the requested user permission;

receiving the instructions from the remote reputation platform;

while the user is interacting with the device located on the premise of the business, request, in accordance with the received instructions, the requested user permission;

obtaining the user's permission to post the review to the external review site on the user's behalf; and

obtaining the user's credentials for the external review site;

wherein the remote reputation platform is further configured to facilitate posting of the review to the external review site on the user's behalf at least in part by using the obtained user's credentials for the external review site.

8. The method of claim 7 wherein the remote reputation platform is configured to evaluate the received review data at least in part by determining, based at least in part on the one or more thresholds, whether the review provided by the user is positive or negative.

9. The method of claim 8 wherein the remote reputation platform is configured to determine that the supplemental request should be transmitted based at least in part on the remote reputation platform determining that the review provided by the user is positive.

10. The method of claim 7 further comprising determining whether the review provided by the user is positive or negative prior to transmitting the review data to the remote reputation platform.

11. The method of claim 7 , wherein posting of the review to the at least one review site is facilitated in response to obtaining the user's permission to post the review on the user's behalf.

12. The method of claim 7 , wherein facilitating the transmission of the supplemental request includes transmitting the supplemental request to the device.

13. A system, comprising:

a processor configured to:

receive, from a remote mobile device located on a premise of a business, review data provided to the mobile device by a user who is solicited to provide a review for the business while the user is interacting with the mobile device;

evaluate the received review data at least in part by determining, based at least in part on one or more thresholds, whether the review provided by the user is positive or negative;

in the event that the evaluation of the review data based at least in part on the one or more thresholds indicates that the review provided by the user is positive:

facilitate transmission of a supplemental request, wherein:

the supplemental request comprises a request for user permission to post the review to an external review site on the user's behalf;

transmission of the supplemental request is facilitated at least in part by sending instructions to obtain the requested user permission; and

while the user is interacting with the mobile device located on the premise of the business, the user is requested for the requested user input in accordance with the sent instructions;

obtain the user's permission to post the review to the external review site on the user's behalf;

obtain the user's credentials for the external review site; and

facilitate posting of the review to the external review site on the user's behalf, wherein the posting is facilitated at least in part by using the obtained user's credentials for the external review site;

in the event that the evaluation of the review data based at least in part on the one or more thresholds indicates that the review provided by the user is negative, initiate a remedial action; and

a memory coupled to the processor and configured to provide the processor with instructions.
