Compound having indolocarbazole moiety and divalent linkage
View Patent ↗A compound including at least one type of an optionally substituted indolocarbazole moiety and at least one divalent linkage.
1. A polymer comprising a repeat unit, the repeat unit comprising at least one optionally substituted indolocarbazole moiety and at least one optionally substituted phenyl group,
wherein the optionally substituted indolocarbazole moiety is selected from structures (A) and (D):
wherein for each of the structures (A) and (D), each R is independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a hydrocarbon group, fluoroalkyl, fluoroaryl, cyano, nitro, carbonyl, carboxylate, amino, an alkoxy group, a heterocyclic group, an alkoxyaryl, an arylalkoxy, and a halogenated hydrocarbon; and wherein each of the structures (A) and (D) is optionally peripherally substituted.
2. The polymer of claim 1 , wherein the at least one phenyl group is substituted with at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a hydrocarbon group, fluoroalkyl, fluoroaryl, cyano, nitro, carbonyl, carboxylate, amino, an alkoxy group, a heterocyclic group, an alkoxyaryl, an arylalkoxy, and a halogenated hydrocarbon.
3. The polymer of claim 1 , wherein the repeat unit consists of one optionally substituted indolocarbazole moiety and one optionally substituted phenyl group.
4. The polymer of claim 1 , wherein the repeat unit consists of one optionally substituted indolocarbazole moiety and two optionally substituted phenyl groups.
5. The polymer of claim 1 , wherein the repeat unit has from 1 to 6 of the optionally substituted indolocarbazole moieties, and has a total of from 1 to 3 phenyl groups.
6. The polymer of claim 1 , having from 2 to about 2000 repeat units.
7. The polymer of claim 1 , wherein the polymer is selected from the group consisting of:
wherein n is the number of repeat units.
8. A polymer selected from the group consisting of Formulas (15) through (18):
wherein n is the number of repeat units.
