Abstract

The present invention relates to a system, method and apparatus for evaluating a variety of financial information, determining a valuation metric, and distributing the valuation metric to system users. The valuation metric distribution may be configured by an administrator for automatic distribution of the valuation metric to system users. Alternately, a system user may log onto a central server to access the valuation metric, based on administrator defined or user-customized system data. The valuation characteristic provides a system user with a metric that may be used to assist in allocating the user's financial resources. The metric is determined by analyzing three main types of financial indicators, specifically an earnings-yield factor, an interest factor and a growth indicator.

Claims (23)

1. A system for providing for the management of an administrator managed information database, access to said administrator managed information database to a plurality of system users over a network of interconnected computer systems, and distribution of information stored in said administrator managed information database to the plurality of system users, the system comprising:

an administrative user node having a processor and a memory and being associated with a system administrator;

a cryptographic server module in communication with and adapted to provide secure accessing of the administrator managed information database, the cryptographic server module adapted to execute encryption/decryption security protocols to provide secure transactions over the network of interconnected computer systems, including by use of digital certificates generated and stored in one or more tables associated with the administrator managed information database;

a growth valuation controller having a processor and a memory, the growth valuation controller connected to the administrative user node and a plurality of system user nodes over a computer network, each system user node in the plurality of system user nodes is associated with one of the plurality of system users and comprises a processor and a memory, the growth valuation controller providing for the distribution of information stored in the administrator managed information database to the plurality of system users, and comprising:

a subscriber database comprising a plurality of custom database tables, each of the plurality of custom database tables having a key field interconnecting the plurality of custom database tables, each custom database table in the plurality of custom database tables associated with a client account, each custom database table comprising a format associated with the client account based upon a set of factors, each custom database table further comprising a plurality of subscriber data records, each subscriber data record being associated with one of the plurality of system users, wherein the key field acts as a dimensional pivot point for combining information from a plurality of tables;

the administrator managed information database;

a user interface module adapted to provide a graphical user interface to the administrative node over the computer network;

a set of system tools for generating and modifying data stored in the administrator managed information database, the set of system tools comprising a set of administrative options for configuring at least one valuation determination procedure, and a subscriber management tool;

wherein the set of administrative options for configuring the at least one valuation determination procedure comprises a set of options for configuring a set of factors and an option for configuring the at least one valuation determination procedure as generic or as user specific, the set of options further comprising at least one option for setting a report format based upon the format of an associated custom database table;

wherein the graphical user interface provides the system administrator with access to the set of system tools for generating and modifying data stored in the administrator managed information database; and

wherein the growth valuation controller is configured to automatically generate, attach, and send via e-mail system generic or user- specific report files to one or more of the plurality of system users using a digital certificate generated by the cryptographic server module and based on the configured set of factors for the at least one valuation determination procedure including the report format, and based on each subscriber data record for the one or more of the plurality of system users.

2. The system of claim 1 wherein the growth valuation controller is further configured to provide the administrative node and the plurality of system user nodes with access to a charting tool.

3. The system of claim 1 wherein the each of the subscriber data records comprises a set of user preferences.

4. The system of claim 3 wherein the set of user preferences comprises a subscription frequency, a subscription catalogue, and a user portfolio.

5. The system of claim 3 wherein the set of user preferences in the subscriber data records are used by the growth valuation controller to automatically generate, attach, and send via e-mail system report files to one or more of the plurality of system users.

6. The system of claim 5 wherein the system reports are sent based on a subscriber list association indicated in the set of user preferences.

7. The system of claim 1 wherein the set of factors comprises an earnings yield, a growth rate, and an interest rate of fixed income securities.

8. The system of claim 2 wherein the charting tool is configured to provide access to financial data over a user specified time period and access to historical financial data.

9. The system of claim 3 wherein the set of user preferences comprises a set of portfolio specific metrics.

10. The system of claim 1 wherein the growth valuation controller provides the system administrator with access to a customized financial management web page.

11. The system of claim 1 wherein the growth valuation controller further comprises a financial database and a chart database.

12. The system of claim 1 wherein the growth valuation controller further comprises an operating system module, an information server module, a web browser module, and a cryptographic server module.

13. The system of claim 1 wherein the growth valuation controller further comprises a growth valuation control module.
