Abstract

A blending device is shown and described. The blending device may include a blending container and a power source operatively connected to the blending container. The power source may be configured to supply power to the blending container. The blending container may also include a feature that is powered by the power source.

Claims (17)

1. A blending device comprising:

a blending container comprising a body, a handle, and a base, wherein the blending container is operatively attachable to a blender base; and

a wireless power source operatively disposed within at least one of the body, the handle, or the base and directly connected thereto for supplying power to the blending container;

a coil operatively positioned in the blender container and electrically coupled to the power source;

a first magnet operatively positioned in the blender container, wherein operative movement of the first magnet induces current in the coil and wherein the current charges the power source; and

wherein the blending container comprises a wireless sensor disposed in or directly on at least one of the body, the handle, or the base,

wherein the wireless sensor is powered by the power source, and

wherein the wireless sensor is free of physical connections to the blender base.

2. The blending device of claim 1 , wherein the blending container comprises an inner and outer layer; a second magnet positioned between inner and outer layers; and a sensor positioned in the blending container, wherein the second magnet in operative proximity to the sensor permits operation of the motor, and wherein the sensor is powered by the power source.

3. The blending device of claim 1 , wherein the sensor is a sensor for detecting the temperature of content of the blending container.

4. The blending device of claim 1 , wherein the wireless sensor is a sensor for detecting vibrations of the blending device.

5. The blending device of claim 1 , wherein the blending container comprises an inner and outer layer; a magnet positioned between inner and outer layers; and wherein the wireless sensor is positioned in the blending container, wherein the magnet in operative proximity to the wireless sensor permits operation of the motor.

6. The blending device of claim 1 , further comprising a lid, wherein the wireless sensor detects a lid on the blending container.

7. The blending device of claim 1 , wherein the wireless sensor detects the blender container on a blender base.

8. The blending device of claim 1 , further comprising a blade assembly wherein the wireless sensor detects operation of the blade assembly.

9. The blending device of claim 1 , wherein the wireless sensor generates an output to be received by a hardware processor.

10. The blending device of claim 9 , wherein the wireless sensor generates a wireless output signal to be received by a hardware processor.
