ELECTRONIC DEVICE ACCESSORY AND METHOD OF PROVIDING AND USING THE SAME
Some embodiments include an electronic device accessory. Other embodiments of related electronic device accessories and methods of providing and using the same are also disclosed.
1 ) A case for an electronic device, the case comprising:
a first panel comprising a first panel inner surface, a first panel outer surface opposite the first panel inner surface, and a first panel first end;
a second panel comprising a second panel inner surface, a second panel outer surface opposite the second panel inner surface, a second panel first end, and a second panel second end opposite the second panel first end;
a third panel comprising a third panel inner surface, a third panel outer surface opposite the third panel inner surface, and a third panel first end; and
a cradle comprising a first barrier and a second barrier configured to be coupled with the electronic device in a landscape orientation and in a portrait orientation at different times;
wherein:
the first panel inner surface comprises at least one control mechanism configured to communicate with and operate the electronic device;
the second panel is coupled to the first panel forming a first axis of rotation;
the second panel is coupled to the third panel forming a second axis of rotation; and
the first barrier and the second barrier are configured such that when the cradle is coupled with the electronic device, the cradle receives the electronic device between the first barrier and the second barrier, and the first barrier and the second barrier secure the electronic device to the case.
2 ) The case of claim 1 wherein:
the first panel first end comprises a first length;
the second panel first end comprises a second length;
the second panel second end comprises a third length;
the third panel first end comprises a fourth length; and
at least one of:
the first length and the second length are approximately equal with each other; or
the third length and the fourth length are approximately equal with each other.
3 ) The case of claim 2 wherein:
the first length, the second length, the third length, and the fourth length are approximately equal with each other.
4 ) The case of claim 1 wherein:
the second panel is coupled to the first panel at the first panel first end, and the second panel is coupled to the third panel at the third panel first end.
5 ) The case of claim 4 wherein:
the second panel is coupled to the first panel at the second panel first end.
6 ) The case of claim 5 wherein:
the second panel is coupled to the third panel at the second panel second end.
7 ) The case of claim 1 wherein:
when the cradle is coupled with the electronic device, the third panel is configured to support the electronic device.
8 ) The case of claim 1 wherein:
the second panel is hingedly coupled to the first panel; and
the second panel is hingedly coupled to the third panel.
9 ) The case of claim 1 further comprising:
a fourth panel comprising a fourth panel inner surface, a fourth panel outer surface opposite the fourth panel inner surface, and a fourth panel first end;
wherein:
the third panel comprises a third panel second end opposite the third panel first end; and
the third panel is coupled to the fourth panel forming a third axis of rotation.
10 ) The case of claim 9 wherein:
the first panel first end comprises a first length;
the second panel first end comprises a second length;
the second panel second end comprises a third length;
the third panel first end comprises a fourth length;
the third panel second end comprises a fifth length;
the fourth panel first end comprises a sixth length; and
at least one of:
the first length and the second length are approximately equal with each other;
the third length and the fourth length are approximately equal with each other; or
the fifth length and the sixth length are approximately equal with each other.
11 ) The case of claim 10 wherein:
the first length, the second length, the third length, the fourth length, the fifth length, and the sixth length are approximately equal with each other.
12 ) The case of claim 1 wherein:
the cradle is coupled to the second panel.
13 ) The case of claim 1 further comprising:
a communication module configured to electrically couple the electronic device to the at least one control mechanism to provide direct wireless communication between the electronic device and the at least one control mechanism.
14 ) A case for an electronic device, the case comprising:
a first panel comprising a first panel inner surface, a first panel outer surface opposite the first panel inner surface, and a first panel first end;
a second panel comprising a second panel inner surface, a second panel outer surface opposite the second panel inner surface, a second panel first end, and a second panel second end opposite the second panel first end;
a third panel comprising a third panel inner surface, a third panel outer surface opposite the third panel inner surface, and a third panel first end; and
a cradle comprising a first barrier and a second barrier configured to be coupled with the electronic device in a landscape orientation and in a portrait orientation at different times;
wherein:
the first panel inner surface comprises at least one control mechanism configured to communicate with and operate the electronic device;
the second panel is hingedly coupled to the first panel forming a first axis of rotation;
the second panel is hingedly coupled to the third panel forming a second axis of rotation;
the first barrier and the second barrier are configured such that when the cradle is coupled with the electronic device, the cradle receives the electronic device between the first barrier and the second barrier, and the first barrier and the second barrier secure the electronic device to the case;
the first panel first end comprises a first length;
the second panel first end comprises a second length;
the second panel second end comprises a third length;
the third panel first end comprises a fourth length;
the first length, the second length, the third length, and the fourth length are approximately equal with each other;
the second panel is coupled to the first panel at the first panel first end, and the second panel is coupled to the third panel at the third panel first end;
the second panel is coupled to the first panel at the second panel first end; and
when the cradle is coupled with the electronic device, the third panel is configured to support the electronic device.
15 ) The case of claim 14 wherein:
the cradle is coupled to the second panel.
16 ) A case for an electronic device, the case comprising:
a first panel comprising a first panel inner surface, a first panel outer surface opposite the first panel inner surface, and a first panel first end;
a second panel comprising a second panel inner surface, a second panel outer surface opposite the second panel inner surface, a second panel first end, and a second panel second end opposite the second panel first end;
a third panel comprising a third panel inner surface, a third panel outer surface opposite the third panel inner surface, a third panel first end, and a third panel second end opposite the third panel first end;
a fourth panel comprising a fourth panel inner surface, a fourth panel outer surface opposite the fourth panel inner surface, and a fourth panel first end; and
a cradle comprising a first barrier and a second barrier configured to be coupled with the electronic device in a landscape orientation and in a portrait orientation at different times;
wherein:
the first panel inner surface comprises at least one control mechanism configured to communicate with and operate the electronic device;
the second panel is coupled to the first panel forming a first axis of rotation;
the second panel is coupled to the third panel forming a second axis of rotation the third panel is coupled to the second panel forming a third axis of rotation; and
the first barrier and the second barrier are configured such that when the cradle is coupled with the electronic device, the cradle receives the electronic device between the first barrier and the second barrier, and the first barrier and the second barrier secure the electronic device to the case.
17 ) The case of claim 16 wherein:
the first panel first end comprises a first length;
the second panel first end comprises a second length;
the second panel second end comprises a third length;
the third panel first end comprises a fourth length;
the third panel second end comprises a fifth length;
the fourth panel first end comprises a sixth length; and
the first length, the second length, the third length, the fourth length, the fifth length, and the sixth length are approximately equal with each other.
18 ) The case of claim 17 wherein:
the cradle is coupled to the second panel.
19 ) The case of claim 18 wherein:
when the cradle is coupled with the electronic device, the third panel is configured to support the electronic device.
20 ) The case of claim 19 further comprising:
a communication module configured to electrically couple the electronic device to the at least one control mechanism to provide direct wireless communication between the electronic device and the at least one control mechanism.
