ENABLING A FRIEND TO REMOTELY MODIFY USER DATA
The present invention allows users to interact with people, who have interacted with other people, and obtain media files and recommendations from those having common interests, thereby creating interactive media communities and spawning electronic social networks based on media and other types of electronic entertainment.

34 . A method for enabling program recommendations via social networking, the method comprising:
receiving a request from a first user to view the activities of a second user;
subsequent to receiving the request, receiving a program recommendation from the second user;
generating for display a display including an identifier of the second user and an interactive identifier associated with the program recommendation based on the request; and
receiving a selection of the interactive identifier by the first user, wherein in response to receiving the selection of the interactive identifier, a program corresponding to the program recommendation is provided to the first user.
35 . The method of claim 34 , further comprising:
receiving a text comment from the first user; and
transmitting the text comment to the second user.
36 . The method of claim 34 , further comprising:
receiving a delete request to remove the program recommendation from the display; and
removing the program recommendation from the display in response to the delete request.
37 . The method of claim 34 , further comprising:
in response to receiving the selection of the interactive identifier, generating for display additional information corresponding to the program recommendation.
38 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising instructions thereon for enabling program recommendations via social networking, the instructions comprising:
instructions to receive a request from a first user to view the activities of a second user;
instructions to, subsequent to receiving the request, receive a program recommendation from the second user;
instructions to generate for display a display including an identifier of the second user and an interactive identifier associated with the program recommendation based on the request; and
instructions to receive a selection of the interactive identifier by the first user, wherein in response to receiving the selection of the interactive identifier, a program corresponding to the program recommendation is provided to the first user.
39 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 38 , wherein the instructions further comprise:
instructions to receive a text comment from the first user; and
instructions to transmit the text comment to the second user.
40 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 38 , wherein the instructions further comprise:
instructions to receive a delete request to remove the program recommendation from the display; and
instructions to remove the program recommendation from the display in response to the delete request.
41 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 38 , wherein the instructions further comprise:
instructions to, in response to receiving the selection of the interactive identifier, generate for display additional information corresponding to the program recommendation.
42 . A method for enabling program recommendations via social networking, the method comprising:
receiving a program request from a first user, wherein the program request corresponds to a program recommendation of a second user; and
providing a program corresponding to the program recommendation to the first user, wherein:
the first user causes a request to view the activities of the second user to be transmitted to a server,
subsequent to the server receiving the request, the program recommendation is received by the server from the second user,
a display is generated by the server including an identifier of the second user and an interactive identifier associated with the program recommendation based on the request, and
the program request is received in response to a selection of the interactive identifier by the first user.
43 . The method of claim 42 , further comprising:
receiving a text comment from the first user; and
transmitting the text comment to the second user.
44 . The method of claim 42 , further comprising:
receiving a delete request to remove the program recommendation from the display; and
removing the program recommendation from the display in response to the delete request.
45 . The method of claim 42 , further comprising:
in response to receiving the selection of the interactive identifier, generating for display additional information corresponding to the program recommendation.
46 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising instructions thereon for enabling program recommendations via social networking, the instructions comprising:
instructions to receive a program request from a first user, wherein the program request corresponds to a program recommendation of a second user; and
instructions to provide a program corresponding to the program recommendation to the first user, wherein:
the first user causes a request to view the activities of the second user to be transmitted to a server,
subsequent to the server receiving the request, the program recommendation is received by the server from the second user,
a display is generated by the server including an identifier of the second user and an interactive identifier associated with the program recommendation based on the request, and
the program request is received in response to a selection of the interactive identifier by the first user.
47 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 46 , wherein the instructions further comprise:
instructions to receive a text comment from the first user; and
instructions to transmit the text comment to the second user.
48 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 46 , wherein the instructions further comprise:
receive a delete request to remove the program recommendation from the display; and
remove the program recommendation from the display in response to the delete request.
49 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 46 , wherein the instructions further comprise:
instructions to, in response to receiving the selection of the interactive identifier, generate for display additional information corresponding to the program recommendation.
