PROACTIVE MACHINE LEARNING IN A VEHICULAR ENVIRONMENT
Methods and systems for an improved navigation environment are provided. The navigation system can route users to preferred locations based on user profile data and past experience with the present driver and other drivers. The system provides more cost-effective and time-sensitive routing by incorporating other information about destinations. Further, the navigation system provides enhanced guidance in foreign or unfamiliar locations by incorporating experience from other drivers and other data.
1 . A method for providing navigation information for a conveyance, comprising:
a vehicle control system, including a processor, receiving route information for two or more routes;
the vehicle control system interrogating the route information;
the vehicle control system storing the interrogated route information locally with the conveyance;
the vehicle control system retrieving the interrogated route information; and
the vehicle control system generating a route based on the interrogated route information.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the vehicle control system determining if the interrogated route information should be stored remotely.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising the vehicle control system storing the interrogated route information remotely away from the conveyance.
4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising the vehicle control system suggesting the route to a user based on the interrogated route information.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one route was generated by a navigation system.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the interrogation route information includes one or more of a destination, an origin, a route traveled.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the interrogation route information is stored remotely if deemed useful.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the suggested route includes a location for a shop or business where the user may desire to buy a product, based on preference in a user profile associated with the user.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the suggested route is created from routes driven by other drivers.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the interrogation route information is stored in cloud storage.
11 . A conveyance comprising:
a processor operable to execute one or more modules, the modules comprising:
a route interrogation module operable to:
receive route information for two or more routes;
interrogate the route information;
store the interrogated route information locally with the conveyance;
a route suggestion module operable to:
retrieve the interrogated route information; and
generate a route based on the interrogated route information.
12 . The conveyance of claim 11 , wherein the route interrogation module is further operable to:
determine if the interrogated route information should be stored remotely; and
store the interrogated route information remotely away from the conveyance.
13 . The conveyance of claim 11 , wherein the route interrogation module is further operable to suggest the route to a user based on the interrogated route information, wherein at least one route was generated by a navigation system, and wherein the interrogation route information includes one or more of a destination, an origin, a route traveled.
14 . The conveyance of claim 13 , wherein the suggested route includes a location for a shop or business where the user may desire to buy a product, based on preference in a user profile associated with the user, and wherein the interrogation route information is stored in cloud storage.
15 . The conveyance of claim 14 , wherein the suggested route is created from routes driven by other drivers.
16 . A non-transitory computer readable medium stored on a storage medium and having instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform a method, the instructions comprising:
instructions to receive route information for two or more routes;
instructions to interrogate the route information;
instructions to store the interrogated route information locally with the conveyance;
instructions to retrieve the interrogated route information; and
instructions to generate a route based on the interrogated route information.
17 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , further comprising:
instructions to determine if the interrogated route information should be stored remotely; and
instructions to store the interrogated route information remotely away from the conveyance.
18 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , further comprising instructions to suggest the route to a user based on the interrogated route information, wherein at least one route was generated by a navigation system, and wherein the interrogation route information includes one or more of a destination, an origin, a route traveled.

The computer readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the suggested route includes a location for a shop or business where the user may desire to buy a product, based on preference in a user profile associated with the user, and wherein the interrogation route information is stored in cloud storage.
20 . The computer readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the suggested route is created from routes driven by other drivers.
