Abstract

A game method and a game system to perform the method and embodied as a computer, the method including configuring a level-based league for teams of users, performing a league game between teams included in the level-based league at predetermined time intervals regardless of whether the users connect to the game system, providing runtime broadcasting information about the league game to a terminal of a user in response to a request for observing the league game from the user that connects to the game system over a network, during a period in which the league game is ongoing, and calculating and managing a progress result of the league game.

Claims (59)

1. A game method performed by a game system embodied as a computer, the game method comprising:

configuring a level-based league comprising teams that each correspond to an owner;

performing a league game between teams of the level-based league at a determined time interval regardless of whether the owners of the teams in the league game are connected to the game system;

providing runtime broadcasting information about the league game to a terminal of a user in response to a request for observing the league game from the user, the user being connected to the game system over a network during a period while the league game is ongoing; and

calculating and managing a progress result of the league game,

wherein the runtime broadcasting information comprises information to display a movement of a mechanical object made in response to an action set for the mechanical object, the movement of the mechanical object being represented by a line that connects a start location of the movement to an end location of the movement.

2. The game method of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the runtime broadcasting information and the progress result is displayed through a webpage provided by the game system to the terminal of the user.

3. The game method of claim 1 , wherein the providing of the runtime broadcasting information comprises:

storing and managing, in a scenario pool, information about possible scenarios in conjunction with the movement of the mechanical object in a simulation;

selecting at least one scenario from the scenario pool;

generating scene data based on whether motions comprised by the selected at least one scenario have succeeded or failed; and

providing the generated scene data to the terminal of the user as the runtime broadcasting information.

4. The game method of claim 3 , wherein the scene data comprises unit data of an action corresponding to motions that are successful among the motions comprised by the selected at least one scenario.

5. The game method of claim 1 , wherein the providing of the runtime broadcasting information comprises:

providing a user interface to the terminal of a user, the user interface enabling the user to change a setting associated with a team of the user; and

applying the setting changed through the user interface to a progress of the league game.

6. A game method performed by a game system embodied as a computer, the method comprising:

configuring a level-based league comprising teams that each correspond to an owner;

performing a league game between teams of the level-based league at a determined time interval regardless of whether the owners of the teams in the league game are connected to the game system;

providing runtime broadcasting information about the league game to a terminal of a user in response to a request for observing the league game from the user, the user being connected to the game system over a network while the league game is ongoing; and

calculating and managing a progress result of the league game,

wherein the providing of the runtime broadcasting information comprises:

storing and managing, in a scenario pool, information about possible scenarios in conjunction with a movement of a mechanical object in a simulation of the league game;

selecting at least one scenario from the scenario pool;

generating scene data for the simulation based on whether motions comprised by the selected at least one scenario have succeeded or failed;

regenerating some of the generated scene data to modify a portion of the simulation in response to a change affecting at least one team of the teams in the league game; and

providing the regenerated scene data and the generated scene data other than the some of the generated scene data to the terminal of the user as the runtime broadcasting information.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the generated scene data comprises unit data of an action corresponding to motions that are successful among the motions comprised by the selected at least one scenario.

8. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program to implement the method of claim 1 .

9. A game system embodied as a computer, the game system comprising:

a league manager to configure a level-based league comprising teams that correspond to owners;

a league game performer configured to perform a league game between teams of the level-based league at a determined time interval regardless of whether the owners of the teams in the league game are connected to the game system;

an information provider configured to provide runtime broadcasting information about the league game to a terminal of a user in response to a request for observing the league game from the user, the user being connected to the game system over a network while the league game is ongoing; and

a progress result manager configured to calculate and manage a progress result of the league game,

wherein the runtime broadcasting information comprises information to display a movement of a mechanical object made in response to an action set for the mechanical object, the movement of the mechanical object being represented by a line that connects a start location of the movement to an end location of the movement.

10. The game system of claim 9 , wherein:

the information provider is configured to provide a webpage to the terminal of the user; and

the webpage is configured to display at least one of the runtime broadcasting information and the progress result.

11. The game system of claim 9 , wherein the information provider comprises:

a scenario pool configured to store information about possible scenarios in conjunction with the movement of the mechanical object in a simulation;

a scenario selector configured to select at least one scenario from the scenario pool;

a scene data generator configured to generate scene data based on whether motions comprised by the selected scenario have succeeded or failed; and

a scene data provider configured to provide the generated scene data to the terminal of the user as the runtime broadcasting information.

12. The game system of claim 11 , wherein the scene data comprises unit data of an action corresponding to motions that are continuously successful among the motions comprising the selected scenario.

13. The game system of claim 9 , wherein the information provider comprises:

a user interface provider configured to provide a user interface to the terminal of a user, the user interface configured to enable the user to change a setting associated with a team of the user; and

a setting applier configured to apply the setting changed through the user interface to a progress of the league game.

14. A game system embodied as a computer, the computer system comprising:

a league manager to configure a level-based league comprising teams that correspond to owners;

a league game performer configured to perform a league game between teams of the level-based league at a determined time interval regardless of whether the owners of the teams in the league game are connected to the game system;

an information provider configured to provide runtime broadcasting information about the league game to a terminal of a user in response to a request for observing the league game from the user, the user being connected to the game system over a network while the league game is ongoing; and

a progress result manager configured to calculate and manage a progress result of the league game,

wherein the information provider is configured to:

store and manage, in a scenario pool, information about possible scenarios in conjunction with a movement of a mechanical object in a simulation of the league game;

select at least one scenario from the scenario pool;

generate scene data for the simulation based on whether motions comprised by the selected at least one scenario have succeeded or failed;

regenerate some of the generated scene data to modify a portion of the simulation in response to a change affecting at least one team of the teams in the league game; and

provide the regenerated scene data and the generated scene data other than the some of the generated scene data to the terminal of the user as the runtime broadcasting information.

15. The game system of claim 14 , wherein the generated scene data comprises unit data of an action corresponding to motions that are successful among the motions comprised by the selected at least one scenario.
