Abstract

A system for compensating the input signals to arrays of pixels that include semiconductor devices that age differently under different ambient and stress conditions. The system creates a library of compensation curves for different stress conditions of the semiconductor devices; identifies the stress conditions for at least a selected one of the semiconductor devices based on the rate of change or absolute value of at least one parameter of at least the selected device; selects a compensation curve for the selected device based on the identified stress conditions; calculates compensation parameters for the selected device based on the selected compensation curve; and compensates an input signal for the selected device based on the calculated compensation parameters.

Claims (19)

1 . A method of compensating the input signals to arrays of pixels that include semiconductor devices that age differently under different ambient and stress conditions, said method comprising

creating a library of compensation curves for different stress conditions of said semiconductor devices,

identifying the stress conditions for at least a selected one of said semiconductor devices based on the rate of change or absolute value of at least one parameter of at least said selected device,

selecting a compensation curve for said selected device based on the identified stress conditions,

calculating compensation parameters for said selected device based on the selected compensation curve, and

compensating an input signal for said selected device based on said calculated compensation parameters.

2 . A method of compensating the input signals to arrays of pixels that include semiconductor devices that age differently under different ambient and stress conditions, said method comprising

creating a library of compensation curves for different stress conditions of said semiconductor devices,

identifying the stress conditions for at least a selected one of said semiconductor devices based on the rate of change or absolute value of at least one parameter of at least said selected device,

extracting a parameter of said selected device while subjected to said stress condition,

selecting a compensation curve for said selected device based on at least one of the identified stress conditions and the extracted parameter,

calculating compensation parameters for said selected device based on the selected compensation curve, and

compensating an input signal for said selected device based on said calculated compensation parameters.

3 . A method of compensating the input signals to arrays of pixels that include semiconductor devices that age differently under different ambient and stress conditions, said method comprising

creating a library of compensation curves for different stress conditions of said semiconductor devices,

identifying the stress conditions for at least a selected one of said semiconductor devices based on a comparison of the rate of change or absolute value of at least one parameter of at least said selected device, with the rate of change or absolute value of at least one parameter of another semiconductor device,

selecting a compensation curve for said selected device based on the identified stress conditions,

calculating compensation parameters for said selected device based on the selected compensation curve, and

compensating an input signal for said selected device based on said calculated compensation parameters.
