Abstract

There are provided a terminal, a base station, a communication method, and an integrated circuit for enabling the base station and the terminal to efficiently perform received power measurement and perform a measurement report in a communication system in which the base station and the terminal perform communication with each other. The terminal that performs communication with the base station, includes a reception unit 205 that performs received power measurement that is based on a first signal in a certain cell, in which in a case where a configuration of a second signal is set and the certain cell is not set to a predetermined carrier type, the reception unit 205 performs the received power measurement that is based on the first signal, and in a case where the certain cell is set to the predetermined carrier type, the reception unit 205 performs the received power measurement that is based on the second signal.

Claims (15)

1. A terminal apparatus comprising:

a reception circuitry configured to perform, for a certain cell, a measurement of a first signal including a primary synchronization signal, a secondary synchronization signal and cell-specific signals in a first period in a case that the first period is configured,

wherein, in a case that a configuration of channel state information reference signals is configured as a part of a configuration of the first signal,

the reception circuitry is configured to perform, for the certain cell, that is set to a predetermined type being first type, a reference signal received power measurement based on the channel state information reference signals in the first duration, and

the reception circuitry is configured to perform, for the certain cell that is set to the predetermined type being second type, the reference signal received power measurement based on the channel state information reference signals in a second duration.

2. A base station apparatus comprising:

a transmission circuitry configured to transmit, for a certain cell, a first signal including a primary synchronization signal, a secondary synchronization signal and cell-specific reference signals in a first period in a case that information relating to a configuration of the first period is transmitted to a terminal apparatus,

wherein, in a case that a configuration of channel state information reference signals is configured as a part of a configuration of the first signal,

the transmission circuitry is configured to transmit, for the certain cell that is set to a predetermined type being first type, channel state information reference signals in a first duration, and

the transmission circuitry is configured to transmit, for the certain cell that is set to the predetermined type being second type, the channel state information reference signals in a second duration.

3. A method for a terminal apparatus, the method comprising:

performing, for a certain cell, a measurement of a first signal including a primary synchronization signal, a secondary synchronization signal and cell-specific signals in a first period in a case that the first period is configured,

wherein in a case that a configuration of channel state information reference signals is configured as a part of a configuration of the first signal,

performing, for the certain cell that is set to a predetermined type being first type, a reference signal received power measurement based on the channel state information reference signals in a first duration, and

performing, for the certain cell that is set to the predetermined type being second type, the reference signal received power measurement based on the channel state information reference signals in a second duration.
