Abstract

Provided are a method of controlling transmission power for an uplink control channel for a terminal to which a plurality of cells are assigned, and a device using the method. The method receives a first set of parameters and a second set of parameters that are used for determining transmission power for the uplink control channel and determines the transmission power for the uplink control channel by using the first set of parameters or the second set of parameters, wherein the first set of parameters or the second set of parameters is used according to one of the cells to which the uplink control channel is transmitted.

Claims (19)

1. A method of controlling transmission power of an uplink control channel of a user equipment for which a plurality of cells are configured, the method comprising:

receiving a first parameter set and a second parameter set which are used to determine the transmission power of the uplink control channel;

determining the transmission power of the uplink control channel by using the first parameter set or the second parameter set; and

transmitting information on the uplink control channel using the determined transmission power,

wherein the first parameter set or the second parameter set is used according to a cell in which the uplink control channel is transmitted among the plurality of cells, and

wherein if the cell in which the uplink control channel is transmitted is a primary cell in which the user equipment performs an initial connection establishment procedure or a connection re-establishment procedure with respect to a base station, the first parameter set is used to determine the uplink control channel transmission power.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein if the cell in which the uplink control channel is transmitted is a secondary cell which is additionally allocated in addition to the primary cell, the second parameter set is used to determine the uplink control channel transmission power.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein parameters included in the first parameter set include a power offset value for the primary cell, and parameters included in the second parameter set include a power offset value for the secondary cell.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein if the uplink control channel includes a first uplink control channel and a second uplink control channel, the first uplink control channel is transmitted through the primary cell, and the second uplink control channel is transmitted through the secondary cell.

The method of claim 4 , wherein if a first uplink data channel is transmitted simultaneously in a subframe in which the first uplink control channel is transmitted and if a second uplink data channel is transmitted simultaneously in a subframe in which the second uplink control channel is transmitted, the transmission power is allocated in order of the first uplink control channel, the first uplink data channel, the second uplink control channel, and the second uplink data channel.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein parameters included in the second parameter set are a sub-set of parameters included in the first parameter set.

7. A user equipment comprising:

a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a radio signal; and

a processor operatively coupled to the transceiver,

wherein the processor is configured to:

receive a first parameter set and a second parameter set which are used to determine the transmission power of the uplink control channel;

determine the transmission power of the uplink control channel by using the first parameter set or the second parameter set; and

transmit information on the uplink control channel using the determined transmission power, wherein the first parameter set or the second parameter set is used according to a cell in which the uplink control channel is transmitted among the plurality of cells, and

wherein if the cell in which the uplink control channel is transmitted is a primary cell in which the user equipment performs an initial connection establishment procedure or a connection re-establishment procedure with respect to a base station, the first parameter set is used to determine the uplink control channel transmission power.
