Abstract

An information processing apparatus configuring a control apparatus controlling a network includes: a display unit displaying a first icon corresponding to a database storing control information for controlling the network and a plurality of second icons, each of which corresponds to one of a plurality of modules, each of which operates the control information based on a predetermined algorithm, on a display; and a management unit configuring the control apparatus having a function of connecting, upon connecting the first icon with any one of the second icons, a module corresponding to the second icon to the database and operating the control information responsive to a database operation command issued by the module.

Claims (38)

1. An information processing apparatus configuring a control apparatus controlling a network, the information processing apparatus comprising:

a processor coupled to a memory storing a code executed by the processor for executing:

a display unit displaying a first icon corresponding to a database storing control information for controlling the network and a plurality of second icons, each of which corresponds to one of a plurality of modules, and said each of which operates the control information based on a predetermined algorithm, on the display unit; and

a management unit configuring the control apparatus having a function of connecting, in accordance with a connection of the first icon and any one of the second icons, a module corresponding to the second icon to the database and operating the control information responsive to a database operation command issued by the module,

wherein the control apparatus controls a packet transfer function of a node included in the network based on rewritten control information.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, in accordance with a request on the first icon for displaying a state of the database, the display unit displays control information stored in the database.

The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, in accordance with a connection of the first icon and any one of the second icons, the display unit displays a result obtained by operating the control information responsive to a database operation command issued by a module corresponding to the second icon.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, in accordance with a connection of the first icon and the second icon corresponding to a module executing display of a state of the network, the display unit displays a state of the network.

5. The information processing apparatus according claim 1 , wherein an operation on the control information is executed responsive to a common database operation command used by the plurality of modules.

6. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the database includes first information about a topology of the network and second information about a method of processing a packet in the network.

7. The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the database further includes third information for managing a packet that the control apparatus receives from the network and fourth information for managing a packet that the control apparatus transmits to the network.

The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the second icons correspond to the modules executing at least one selected from a group consisting of path calculation between communication terminals, management of a network topology, aggregation of a network topology, division of a network, and integration of a network.

9. A configuration method of a control apparatus controlling a network, the configuration method comprising:

displaying a first icon corresponding to a database storing control information for controlling the network and a plurality of second icons, each of which corresponds to one of a plurality of modules, and said each of which operates the control information based on a predetermined algorithm, on a display; and

configuring the control apparatus having a function of connecting, in accordance with a connection of the first icon and any one of the second icons, a module corresponding to the second icon to the database and operating the control information responsive to a database operation command issued by the module,

wherein the control apparatus controls a packet transfer function of a node included in the network based on rewritten control information.

10. The configuration method according to claim 9 , further comprising:

displaying control information stored in the database on the display in accordance with a request on the first icon for displaying a state of the database.

11. The configuration method according to claim 9 , further comprising:

displaying, in accordance with a connection of the first icon and any one of the second icons, a result obtained by operating the control information responsive to a database operation command issued by a module corresponding to the second icon on the display.

12. The configuration method according to claim 9 , further comprising:

displaying a state of the network on the display in accordance with a connection of the first icon and the second icon corresponding to a module executing display of a state of the network.

13. The configuration method according to claim 9 , further comprising:

executing an operation on the control information responsive to a common database operation command used by the plurality of modules.

14. The configuration method according to claim 9 , wherein the database includes first information about a topology of the network and second information about a method of processing a packet in the network.

15. The configuration method according to claim 14 , wherein the database further includes third information for managing a packet that the control apparatus receives from the network and fourth information for managing a packet that the control apparatus transmits to the network.

16. The configuration method according to claim 9 , wherein the second icons correspond to the modules executing at least one selected from a group consisting of path calculation between communication terminals, management of a network topology, aggregation of a network topology, division of a network, and integration of a network.

17. A communication system comprising an information processing apparatus configuring a control apparatus controlling a network, the information processing apparatus comprising:

a processor coupled to a memory storing a code executed by the processor for executing:

a display unit displaying a first icon corresponding to a database storing control information for controlling the network and a plurality of second icons, each of which corresponds to one of a plurality of modules, and said each of which operates the control information based on a predetermined algorithm, on the display unit; and

a management unit configuring the control apparatus having a function of connecting, in accordance with a connection of the first icon and any one of the second icons, a module corresponding to the second icon to the database and operating the control information responsive to a database operation command issued by the module,

wherein the control apparatus controls a packet transfer function of a node included in the network based on rewritten control information.

18. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program causing an information processing apparatus configuring a control apparatus controlling a network to execute:

displaying a first icon corresponding to a database storing control information for controlling the network and a plurality of second icons, and said each of which corresponds to one of a plurality of modules, each of which operates the control information based on a predetermined algorithm, on a display; and

configuring the control apparatus having a function of connecting, in accordance with a connection of the first icon and any one of the second icons, a module corresponding to the second icon to the database and operating the control information responsive to a database operation command issued by the module,

wherein the control apparatus controls a packet transfer function of a node included in the network based on rewritten control information.

19. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, when the first icon and second icon are connected, the module operates to rewrite the control information held by the database.

20. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the rewritten control information is held by the database.
