Abstract

An electric vehicle includes a switching unit which is capable of performing switching between a permission state in which an electric motor is permitted to operate and an inhibiting state in which the electric motor is inhibited from operating. An assembling management system of the electric vehicle includes an information obtaining section which obtains set information set in a vehicle body or a battery and transmits the obtained set information to a determiner section which determines whether or not the electric motor is permitted to operate based on the set information, and an output section which receives a result of determination from the determiner section, and outputs an electric signal indicating which of a permission state and an inhibiting state should be set in the switching unit.

Claims (34)

1. An assembly management system of an electric vehicle for managing assembly of the electric vehicle in which a battery unit, that includes a battery and is configured to be detachably mounted to a vehicle body in an assembled state, is an electric power supply for an electric motor configured to generate a driving power transmitted to wheels; the vehicle body including a frame, the wheels, and the electric motor; the electric vehicle including a switching system including a vehicle controller and relays, in a state in which the battery unit is mechanically connected to the vehicle body; the assembly management system comprising:

a battery monitor, including a processor and memory, provided in the battery unit, and configured to obtain and store set information including degradation indicator information relating to degradation of the battery, the set information being set in the battery unit before the battery unit is mounted to the vehicle body; and

an outside authentication device configured to execute:

an information obtaining module to obtain the set information from the battery unit and transmit the set information to a determination module;

the determination module, to determine whether or not the electric motor is permitted to operate based on the set information, during mounting of the battery unit to the vehicle body; and

an output module to receive a result of determination from the determination module, and output an electric signal indicating which of the permission state and the inhibiting state should be set in the switching system, wherein

the battery monitor is configured to obtain and store the set information based on information received from cell monitoring units corresponding to a plurality of battery cells of the battery,

the output module outputs the electric signal to the switching system of the electric vehicle,

the degradation indicator information of the battery includes state history information of the battery obtained regularly during storage of the battery detached from the vehicle body, and the state history information includes battery temperature information and is obtained irrespective of whether or not the battery is mounted to the vehicle body,

the information obtaining module obtains the set information from the battery-monitor,

the output module receives the result of determination as to whether or not the electric motor is permitted to operate, based on the set information including the degradation indicator information, from the determination module; and

the switching system switches between a permission state in which the electric motor is permitted to operate and an inhibiting state in which the electric motor is inhibited from operating.

2. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle, according to claim 1 ,

wherein the switching system is configured to perform switching to select connection or disconnection of an electric circuit between the battery and the electric motor.

3. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle, according to claim 1 ,

wherein the set information of the battery is stored in the memory of the battery monitor mounted in the battery unit.

4. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle, according to claim 1 ,

wherein input/output data of the information obtaining module and input/output data of the output module are stored in memory of the outside authentication device, when mounting the battery unit to the vehicle body.

5. An assembly method of an electric vehicle in which a battery unit, that includes a battery and is configured to be detachably mounted to a vehicle body in an assembled state, is an electric power supply for an electric motor configured to generate a driving power transmitted to wheels, the vehicle body including a frame, the wheels, and the electric motor, the method comprising the steps of:

obtaining and storing set information that is transmitted to a determination module of an outside authentication device, including degradation indicator information relating to degradation of the battery, the set information being set in the battery unit before the battery unit is mounted to the vehicle body, the set information being obtained and stored based on information received from cell monitoring units corresponding to a plurality of battery cells of the battery;

determining, in the determination module, whether or not an authentication permission condition used to permit the electric motor to operate is satisfied, based on the set information including the degradation indicator information, during mounting of the battery unit to the vehicle body;

regularly obtaining, during storage of the battery detached from the vehicle body, degradation indicator information of the battery including state history information of the battery, the state history information including battery temperature information and being obtained irrespective of whether or not the battery is mounted to the vehicle body; and

setting an inhibiting state in which the electric motor is inhibited from operating in the assembled state in which the battery unit is mounted to the vehicle body, when the authentication permission condition is not satisfied, and setting a permission state in which the electric motor is permitted to operate in the assembled state in which the battery unit is mounted to the vehicle body, when the authentication permission condition is satisfied.

6. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the battery monitor is configured such that an initial mode in which the electric motor is inhibited from operating is set, before the battery unit is mounted and after the battery unit is removed.

7. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the battery monitor is configured to obtain state history information in a state in which the battery unit is mounted to the vehicle body.

8. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the degradation indicator information includes diagnostic information indicating whether or not the battery has passed a test.

9. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein the determination module is configured to determine whether or not an authentication permission condition is satisfied, based on vehicle body set information set in the vehicle body and the set information set in the battery unit.

10. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 , wherein an authentication permission condition includes a condition relating to information about a customer.

11. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 ,

wherein the battery unit includes a pack input connector for supplying the electric power to pack electric components.

12. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 ,

wherein the state history information of the battery includes battery ambient temperature information relating to the ambient temperature of the battery.

13. The assembly management system of the electric vehicle according to claim 1 ,

wherein the battery temperature information indicates a highest temperature, a lowest temperature, and an average temperature.
