Abstract

An image pickup device includes: a camera; a display; and a touch panel that overlaps the display. The display has at least a first mode in which an image captured by the camera is displayed, and a second mode in which a predetermined image is displayed. In the first mode, the touch panel has an unresponsive region with a predetermined width in a peripheral portion of the display. In the second mode, the touch panel does not have the unresponsive region.

Claims (26)

1. An image pickup apparatus comprising:

a camera that captures an image;

a display that displays the image captured by the camera; and

a touch panel that overlaps the display,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, the touch panel has a first region with a predetermined width, in a peripheral portion of the display, and a second region which is disposed at an inner side of the first region in the display, and

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, when the touch panel detects a touch in the second region, at least an autofocus operation starts to be performed,

after the autofocus operation has started to be performed, and while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, when the touch panel detects a touch in the first region, any operation relating to the autofocus operation is not performed, and the started autofocus operation is still maintained.

2. An image pickup apparatus comprising:

a camera that captures an image;

a display that displays the image captured by the camera; and

a touch panel that overlaps the display,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, the touch panel has a first region with a predetermined width, in a peripheral portion of the display, and a second region which is disposed at an inner side of the first region in the display, and

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, when the touch panel detects a touch in the second region, at least an autofocus operation starts to be performed,

after the autofocus operation has started to be performed, and while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, when the touch panel detects a touch in the first region, any operation relating to the auto focus operation is not performed, unless an icon displayed in the first region is touched.

3. An image pickup apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, when the touch panel detects a touch in the first region, then any operation of the image pickup apparatus is not performed.

4. An image pickup apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, the display area of the image is substantially an entire area of the display.

5. An image pickup apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, the display area of the image is greater than 80% of an entire area of the display.

6. An image pickup apparatus according to claim 2 ,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, when the touch panel detects a touch in the first region, then any operation of the image pickup apparatus is not performed.

7. An image pickup apparatus according to claim 2 ,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, the display area of the image is substantially an entire area of the display.

8. An image pickup apparatus according to claim 2 ,

wherein, while the display is displaying the image which the camera is capturing, the display area of the image is greater than 80% of an entire area of the display.
