Electronic Device and Method Providing Improved World Clock Feature
An improved electronic device and method provide an improved clock feature that includes an improved world clock function.
1 . A method of operating an electronic device, the method comprising:
detecting that a location of the electronic device has changed from a first time zone to a second time zone; and
displaying on a display of the electronic device:
a first time for the first time zone using a first visual object; and
a second time for the second time zone using a second visual object.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first time zone is a home time zone and the second time zone is a local time zone.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first visual object displays a secondary time, and wherein the first time is displayed using the second visual object prior to the detecting.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the displaying comprises:
altering the appearance of the first visual object from displaying the second time to displaying the first time; and
altering the appearance of the second visual object from displaying the first time to displaying the second time.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a first input to display the first time as a secondary time.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a second input to display the second time as a new local time.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first visual object is larger than the second visual object.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second visual object is larger than the first visual object.
9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying a third time for a third time zone using a third visual object.
10 . A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer executable instructions for:
detecting that a location of the electronic device has changed from a first time zone to a second time zone; and
displaying on a display of the electronic device:
a first time for the first time zone using a first visual object; and
a second time for the second time zone using a second visual object.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the first time zone is a home time zone and the second time zone is a local time zone.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the first visual object displays a secondary time, and wherein the first time is displayed using the second visual object prior to the detecting.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the displaying comprises:
altering the appearance of the first visual object from displaying the second time to displaying the first time; and
altering the appearance of the second visual object from displaying the first time to displaying the second time.
14 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising receiving a first input to display the first time as a secondary time.
15 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising receiving a second input to display the second time as a new local time.
16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the first visual object is larger than the second visual object.
17 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the second visual object is larger than the first visual object.
18 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising displaying a third time for a third time zone using a third visual object.
19 . An electronic device comprising a processor, a display, and memory, the memory comprising computer executable instructions executed by the processor to:
detect that a location of the electronic device has changed from a first time zone to a second time zone; and
display on a display of the electronic device:
a first time for the first time zone using a first visual object; and
a second time for the second time zone using a second visual object.
20 . The electronic device of claim 19 , wherein the first and second visual objects are displayed by:
altering the appearance of the first visual object from displaying the second time to displaying the first time; and
altering the appearance of the second visual object from displaying the first time to displaying the second time.
