Abstract

An electronic marketplace includes a plurality of video game applications available for purchase. For each of the plurality of video game applications, the electronic marketplace may display a tile identifying the video game application, a payment object for initiating a purchase of the video game application, and a preview object to initiate viewing of a live broadcast of active gameplay of the video game application.

Claims (32)

1 . An electronic marketplace comprising:

for each of a plurality of video game applications:

a tile identifying the video game application;

a payment object configured to initiate a purchase of the video game application; and

a preview object configured to initiate viewing of a live broadcast of another's active gameplay of the video game application.

2 . The electronic marketplace of claim 1 , wherein the live broadcast is the live broadcast with a most current viewers for that video game application.

3 . The electronic marketplace of claim 1 , comprising a second preview object configured to initiate viewing of a different live broadcast of the active gameplay of the video game application, the different live broadcast having a second most current viewers for that video game application.

4 . The electronic marketplace of claim 1 , wherein the live broadcast is from a video gaming platform configured to purchase from the electronic marketplace.

5 . The electronic marketplace of claim 1 , wherein the preview object includes preview images from the live broadcast.

6 . The electronic marketplace of claim 1 , wherein the preview object includes preview video from the live broadcast.

7 . The electronic marketplace of claim 1 , further comprising an additional preview object configured to initiate a display of a listing of all live broadcasts of the video game application.

8 . The electronic marketplace of claim 1 , wherein the preview object identifies a number of viewers currently viewing the live broadcast.

9 . A method of operating an electronic marketplace, the method comprising:

for each of a plurality of video game applications:

displaying a tile identifying the video game application;

displaying a payment object configured to initiate a purchase of the video game application; and

displaying a preview object configured to initiate viewing of a live broadcast of another's active gameplay of the video game application.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the live broadcast is the live broadcast with a most current viewers for that video game application.

11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising displaying a second preview object, the second preview object configured to initiate viewing of a different live broadcast of the active gameplay of the video game application, the different live broadcast having a second most current viewers for that video game application.

12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the live broadcast is from a video gaming platform configured to purchase from the electronic marketplace.

13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the preview object includes preview images from the live broadcast.

14 . The method of claim 9 , comprising displaying an additional preview object configured to initiate a display of a listing of all live broadcasts of other's active gameplay of the video game application.

15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the preview object identifies a number of viewers currently viewing the live broadcast.

16 . A computing system for hosting an electronic marketplace, the computing system comprising a logic machine, a network connection, and a storage machine, the storage machine containing instructions executable by the logic machine to:

for each of a plurality of video game applications:

provide a tile identifying the video game application;

provide a payment object configured to initiate a purchase of the video game application; and

provide a first preview object configured to initiate viewing of a live broadcast with a most current viewers of another's active gameplay of the video game application.

17 . The computing system of claim 16 , comprising instructions to provide a second preview object configured to initiate viewing of a different live broadcast of the active gameplay of the video game application, the different live broadcast having a second most current viewers for that video game application.

18 . The computing system of claim 16 , wherein the first preview object includes preview images from the live broadcast.

19 . The computing system of claim 16 , comprising instructions to provide a third preview object configured to initiate a viewing of a listing of all live broadcasts of other's active gameplay of the video game application.

20 . The computing system of claim 16 , wherein the live broadcast is from a video gaming platform configured to purchase from the electronic marketplace.
