Abstract

Examples of methods, systems, products, devices, and/or apparatus generally related to mobile security are described. An example method may include capturing a context pattern of a user device. The context pattern may be based, at least in part, on data from one or more sensors of the user device. The data may be acquired at multiple different times. The example method may further include generating at least one public-private key pair based, at least in part, on the context pattern.

Claims (46)

1. A method comprising:

capturing a context pattern of a user device, wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on data from one or more sensors of the user device, wherein the data is acquired at multiple different times and includes locations of the user device at the multiple different times;

generating at least one public-private key pair, wherein a public key or a private key of the at least one public-private key pair is based, at least in part, on the context pattern; and

authenticating the user device using the at least one public-private key pair.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on routes taken by the user device between the locations.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on other users in a vicinity of the user device at the multiple different times.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on an environmental parameter of an environment in a vicinity of the user device at the multiple different times.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on applications executed by the user device at the multiple different times.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising communicating with another user device using the at least one public-private key pair.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the generating the at least one public-private key pair comprises implementing an identity based encryption procedure.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the identity based encryption procedure utilizes a public identification for the user device.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the context pattern is stored, encrypted, on the user device.

10. A method comprising:

requesting a predicted context pattern from a user device to authenticate a user, the predicted context pattern including a prediction of a future or current context pattern of the user device, wherein the predicted context pattern is based, at least in part, on data from one or more sensors of the user device, wherein the data is acquired at multiple different times, and wherein the predicted context pattern is based, at least in part, on predicted data from the one or more sensors of the user device at a future time;

receiving the predicted context pattern from the user device at a requestor;

generating a context pattern using the data from the one or more sensors of the user device, wherein the data from the one or more sensors of the user device includes locations of the user device at the multiple different times; and

authenticating the user at the future time if the predicted context pattern matches the generated context pattern.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein the requestor comprises an application executing on the user device.

12. The method of claim 10 , wherein the predicted context pattern matches the generated context pattern using a probabilistic match.

13. The method of claim 10 , wherein the predicted context pattern matches the generated context pattern using an exact match.

14. The method of claim 10 , wherein the predicted context pattern is based, at least in part, on the locations of the user device at the multiple different times.

15. The method of claim 10 , wherein the predicted context pattern is based, at least in part, on other users in a vicinity of the user device at the multiple different times.

16. The method of claim 10 , wherein the predicted context pattern is based, at least in part, on an environmental parameter of an environment in a vicinity of the user device at the multiple different times.

17. The method of claim 10 , wherein the predicted context pattern is based, at least in part, on applications executed by the user device at the multiple different times.

18. A device comprising:

at least one processing unit;

a sensor,

at least one computer executable medium, wherein the at least one computer executable medium encoded with instructions comprises instructions configured to cause the at least one processing unit to:

capture a context pattern of the device, wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on data from the sensor, wherein the data is acquired at multiple different times and includes locations of the device at the multiple different times;

generate at least one public-private key pair, wherein a public key or a private key of the at least one public-private key pair is based, at least in part, on the context pattern; and

authenticate the device using the at least one public-private key pair.

19. The device of claim 18 , further comprising storage configured to store the context pattern.

20. The device of claim 19 , wherein the instructions further comprise instructions configured to cause the at least one processing unit to encrypt the context pattern and store the encrypted context pattern in the storage.

21. The device of claim 18 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on routes taken by the device between the locations.

22. The device of claim 18 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on users in a vicinity of the device at the multiple different times.

23. The device of claim 18 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on an environmental parameter of an environment in a vicinity of the device at the multiple different times.

24. The device of claim 18 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on applications executed by the device at the multiple different times.

25. At least one computer executable medium, wherein the at least one computer executable medium encoded with instructions comprises instructions configured to cause at least one processing unit to:

capture a context pattern of a user device, wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on data from at least one sensor of the user device, wherein the data is acquired at multiple different times and includes locations of the user device at the multiple different times;

generate at least one public-private key pair, wherein a public key or a private key of the at least one public-private key pair is based, at least in part, on the context pattern; and

authenticate the user device using the at least one public-private key pair.

26. The at least one computer executable medium of claim 25 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on routes taken by the user device between the locations.

27. The at least one computer executable medium of claim 25 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on other users in a vicinity of the user device at the multiple different times.

28. The at least one computer executable medium of claim 25 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on an environmental parameter of an environment in a vicinity of the user device at the multiple different times.

29. The at least one computer executable medium of claim 25 , wherein the context pattern is based, at least in part, on applications executed by the user device at the multiple different times.

30. The at least one computer executable medium of claim 25 , wherein the instructions further comprise instructions configured to cause the at least one processing unit to communicate with another device using the at least one public-private key pair.
