Abstract

Provided is a display apparatus and a method of manufacture. The display apparatus includes a first substrate with a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices, a second substrate with a color filter, the second substrate facing the first substrate, and an adhesive layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to cover the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices, the adhesive layer being made of a material selected from the group consisting of a phenol resin, a melanin resin, an unsaturated polyester resin, an epoxy resin, a silicon resin and a polyurethane resin.

Claims (60)

1. A display apparatus comprising:

a first substrate;

a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices arranged in a display area on an upper surface of the first substrate;

a second substrate facing the first substrate;

an adhesive member attached to the upper surface of the first substrate and a lower surface of the second substrate in at least a peripheral region of the display area; and

an antireflective film disposed on an upper surface of the second substrate,

wherein the antireflective film is provided to prevent surface reflection of external light on the second substrate, and

wherein the adhesive member includes a first adhesive portion that is a temporary fixing portion and a second adhesive portion.

2. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the antireflective film includes a plurality of film filters.

3. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices includes an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, and an organic layer including a light-emitting layer, and

wherein the organic layer is disposed between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode.

4. The display apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the anode electrode includes silver (Ag).

5. The display apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the cathode electrode includes magnesium (Mg) and silver (Ag).

6. The display apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein light generated in the light-emitting layer is configured to pass through the cathode electrode.

7. The display apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the anode electrode and the cathode electrode has a resonant portion in a resonator configured to resonate light generated in the light-emitting layer.

8. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first adhesive portion is formed by a first material.

9. The display apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the second adhesive portion is formed by a second material different from the first material.

10. The display apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the first adhesive material has a curing characteristic different from that of the second material.

11. The display apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the first adhesive material has an ultraviolet curing characteristic.

12. The display apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the second adhesive material has a thermal curing characteristic.

13. The display apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the second adhesive material is made of a material selected from the group consisting of a phenol resin, a melanin resin, an unsaturated polyester resin, an epoxy resin, a silicon resin and a polyurethane resin.

14. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first adhesive portion is formed outside the second adhesive portion in the peripheral region.

15. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first adhesive portion is formed on at least a part of the peripheral region.

16. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a color filter is disposed on the lower surface of the second substrate.

17. A display apparatus comprising:

a first substrate;

a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices arranged in a display area on an upper surface of the first substrate;

a second substrate facing the first substrate;

an adhesive member attached to the upper surface of the first substrate and a lower surface of the second substrate in at least a peripheral region of the display area; and

an antireflective film disposed on an upper surface of the second substrate,

wherein the adhesive member includes a first adhesive portion that is a temporary fixing portion and a second adhesive portion.

18. The display apparatus according to claim 17 , wherein the antireflective film includes a plurality of film filters.

19. The display apparatus according to claim 17 , wherein at least one of the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices includes an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, and an organic layer including a light-emitting layer, and

wherein the organic layer is disposed between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode.

20. The display apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein the anode electrode includes silver (Ag).

21. The display apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein the cathode electrode includes magnesium (Mg) and silver (Ag).

22. The display apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein light generated in the light-emitting layer is configured to pass through the cathode electrode.

23. The display apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein the anode electrode and the cathode electrode has a resonant portion in a resonator configured to resonate light generated in the light-emitting layer.

24. The display apparatus according to claim 17 , wherein the first adhesive portion is formed by a first material.

25. The display apparatus according to claim 24 , wherein the second adhesive portion is formed by a second material different from the first material.

26. The display apparatus according to claim 25 , wherein the first adhesive material has a curing characteristic different from that of the second material.

27. The display apparatus according to claim 26 , wherein the first adhesive material has an ultraviolet curing characteristic.

28. The display apparatus according to claim 26 , wherein the second adhesive material has a thermal curing characteristic.

29. The display apparatus according to claim 27 , wherein the second adhesive material is made of a material selected from the group consisting of a phenol resin, a melanin resin, an unsaturated polyester resin, an epoxy resin, a silicon resin and a polyurethane resin.

30. The display apparatus according to claim 17 , wherein the first adhesive portion is formed outside the second adhesive portion in the peripheral region.

31. The display apparatus according to claim 17 , wherein the first adhesive portion is formed on at least a part of the peripheral region.

32. The display apparatus according to claim 17 , wherein a color filter is disposed on the lower surface of the second substrate.

33. A display apparatus comprising:

a first substrate;

a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices arranged in a display area on an upper surface of the first substrate;

a second substrate facing the first substrate;

an adhesive member attached to the upper surface of the first substrate and a lower surface of the second substrate in at least a peripheral region of the display area; and

an antireflective film disposed on an upper surface of the second substrate, wherein

at least one of the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices includes an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, and an organic layer including a light-emitting layer,

the organic layer is disposed between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode,

the anode electrode includes silver (Ag),

the cathode electrode includes magnesium (Mg) and silver (Ag), and

light generated in the light-emitting layer is configured to pass through the cathode electrode,

wherein the adhesive member includes a first adhesive portion that is a temporary fixing portion and a second adhesive portion.

34. The display apparatus according to claim 33 , wherein the anode electrode and the cathode electrode has a resonant portion in a resonator configured to resonate light generated in the light-emitting layer.
