Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for corrective navigation instructions are. In one implementation, an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance can be identified from a set of navigational operations. One or more notifications corresponding to the operation can be provided.

Claims (35)

1 . A method comprising:

identifying, by a processing device and from a set of navigational operations, an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance; and

providing one or more notifications corresponding to the operation.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining based on at least one of (a) a geographic location or (b) a speed, that the operation is relatively less likely to be complied with.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises comparing the operation with a geographic location associated with a device to determine that the operation is relatively less likely to be complied with.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining that the operation is relatively less likely to be complied with further based on a device state of the device.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining that the operation is relatively less likely to be complied with based on one or more environmental conditions perceptible to a device.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining, based on a device state of a device, that the operation is relatively less likely to be complied with.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the device state comprises at least one of (a) a volume state of the device, (b) a volume state of an application executing on the device, (c) a display state of the device, (d) a display state of an application executing on the device, (e) a haptic state of the device, or (f) a haptic state of an application executing on the device.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining, based on a device state of one or more first devices, that the operation is relatively less likely to be complied with, and wherein providing one or more notifications corresponding to the operation comprises providing, in relation to one or more second devices, one or more notifications corresponding to the operation.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein at least one of: (a) the one or more first devices comprises at least one of the one or more second devices or (b) the one or more second devices comprises at least one of the one or more first devices.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the device state comprises at least one of (a) a volume state of at least one of the one or more second devices, (b) a volume state of an application executing on at least one of the one or more second devices, (c) a display state of at least one of the one or more second devices, (d) a display state of an application executing on at least one of the one or more second devices, (e) a haptic state of at least one of the one or more second devices, or (f) a haptic state of an application executing on at least one of the one or more second devices.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein at least one of: (a) the one or more first devices comprises at least one of the one or more second devices or (b) the one or more second devices comprises at least one of the one or more first devices.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining a degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with and wherein providing one or more notifications comprises providing one or more notifications based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with.

13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining a degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with and wherein providing one or more notifications comprises selecting, based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with, one or more interfaces at which to provide the one or more notifications.

14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying an operation associated with a relatively lower likelihood of compliance comprises determining a degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with and wherein providing one or more notifications comprises modifying the one or more notifications based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with.

15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the operation comprises at least one of: a turn, a stop, a start, a direction change, a lane change, a previously performed operation, or an exit.

16 . The method of claim 1 , wherein providing one or more notifications comprises providing one or more notifications based on a device state of a device.

17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more notifications comprise one or more instructions that are directed to increasing a likelihood of compliance with the operation.

18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more notifications comprises at least one of an audio notification, a visual notification, or a haptic notification.

19 . The method of claim 1 , wherein providing one or more notifications comprises generating the one or more notifications based on a degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with.

20 . The method of claim 1 , wherein providing one or more notifications comprises providing one or more notifications to a device associated with a second vehicle, the one or more notifications reflecting that a first vehicle is relatively less likely to comply with the operation.

21 . The method of claim 1 , wherein providing one or more notifications comprises initiating, based on a degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with, one or more vehicle functionalities.

22 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising precluding the providing of a notification that does not correspond to the operation.

23 . A system comprising:

a memory; and

a processing device, coupled to the memory, to:

determine, based on at least one of (a) a geographic location, (b) a speed, or (c) a device state of a device, a degree to which an operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with; and

provide, based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with, one or more instructions that are generated based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with.

24 . The system of claim 23 , wherein to provide one or more instructions is to provide the one or more instructions via an interface selected based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with.

25 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to:

compare an operation from a set of navigational operations with a geographic location associated with a device;

determine, based on (a) the comparison of the operation with the geographic location and (b) a device state of the device, a degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with;

select, based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with, an interface at which to provide one or more notifications, the one or more notifications comprising one or more instructions that are generated based on the degree to which the operation is relatively unlikely to be complied with; and

provide the one or more notifications via the interface.
